Collingwood partially sold their future for Trelor. No player is worth that unless you're half a step away from contending for a flag. Collingwood were never close. He's a great player but he's nowhere near damaging enough for the price he's cost them.

As TigerImposter mentioned a few posts ago, their young talent looks poor and now they're banking that Daicos and brown have the goods and really they'll be lucky if one of them makes it.

Elliott is back...all their problems are solved.

Well it looks like the AFL have changed the rules regarding trading future first round picks in this current 4 year block, Geelong which had to trade back into this years 1st round no longer have too, and are free to trade their 2018 1st round pick with no penalty. New rules will take effect from 2019 instead.

The rules were clear as day when they introduced this formula and now Geelong have had a whinge saying they didn't understand the rules and the AFL have relaxed this 4 year block regarding trading future 1st round.

Another words, Geelong acting dumb and the AFL feeling sorry for them.
AFL obviously want Ablett back at Geelong.

Saw those umpiring decisions, Wells was done cold HTB and the umpire paid in the back, it was almost cheating, last few minutes they seemed to get a free every contest and Coburg got nothing.
How far away from an umpiring betting scandal?

Don't know about that but it wouldn't surprise me if umpires are under instruction in the VFL to favour the AFL sides because that's how it looked in the last qtr of the Coburg-lollingwood match. Umpires couldn't blow the whistle quick enough to award the pies a free in the last 5 minutes when the burgers were all over them.
