Happy with the win. We were awful in the 2nd and first half of the 3rd, but closed it out really well from there. Drew must play round 1. Has to. He's the flame-haired god we deserve.

Only a trial game, but so much to like from that! Drew plays round 1, that’s a certainty. Looks like our Maggie’s team will have some good depth this year.

I sat with Boak for the game and he gave some interesting insights to the players.

It was funny to hear him moan when Amon stuffed up.

He says Drew has impressed everyone and joked that he's pushing "more experienced" players out.

We spoke a lot about the 3 new guns and he claims Duursma will be the best of the 3.

That was a pretty solid game of footy as a spectacle compared to that mockery of the sport in AFLX.

Good attacking brand of footy, positive signs from some of the youngsters Drew, Duursma, Burton, Cox, Rozee, Marshall & Bonner.

Do away with AFLX & just broadcast these types of trials instead and it’d be a much better hype build up & lead in to the season proper.

Drew looks great. Cox has a future if he puts everything he has into improving

Bit disappointed with rozee, butters and duursma . All showed some good signs, but expected more from them.

Drew was very good today and you would think he will okay AFL this year, and possibly round one.

There are wuite a few players that concern me though.

Frampton was quite good. Noticeable difference when he was in ruck. While he is good up forward, he needs to improve when he goes down back following his opponent or drifting back to defend.

Mead looks like worthwhile to draft.

Looked a lot better when Howard was in the backlines.

Otherwise, nice hit out.

He was, i did find it funny that he fell over his own feet early which resulted in a goal to the crows.
