Hi all, I'm just a tad interested to see what shape everyone's side is at for Round 1. I know it's still 9 days off but there's no more matches so we should all have a pretty good idea who's fit.

For me, for the Demons best 22, we're missing

Lever (approx. 5h most important player)
May (approx. 10th)
Hannan (approx 19th)
Kolojasnij (approx 22nd)

Not too bad, probably about Average. What's yours? Does anyone reckon they have their actual best 22 fit for the first one?

Cheers

We're down Ward and Zac Langdon for a few weeks. Mummy with a club suspension for two.

Wards not replaceable but it looks like Bonar will do his best from the amount if time he spent in and under at the ckearances in the JLT games.

Zac Langdon not good. We left Brent Daniels out forr finals last year as a first year player. He's looked very good in the JLT and he'll step in.

Mummy is a query. His comeback is because as ruck coach in training last year he was the best ruck. Great to see him jumping freely in JLT1 and we'll have to see how he holds up later.

Much speculation about Kelly as ever, but I think he'll play. He's had a pre-season programme aimed at round 1. I expect him to be a bit green though.

Likely the Crows will be missing Brown, Greenwood & Gallucci from our best 22

Probably replaced with Kelly, Murphy & Jones.
Gallucci is probably line ball best 22 at this point with a fit Brouch and Smith, plus the addition of Jones.

We'd have to be close to one of the least injured teams at this point though. What a difference a year makes.

You under-rate May.
Will easily be in your top 5.

Wingard, Scully, Birchall definitely missing, potentially Gunston as well

Docherty, Pickett, Marchbank, Macreadie, Lang, Williamson and probably Kreuzer. 4 best 22 players for us.

Pies doing alright.

Only injuries we should have would be.
Dunn (who's resuming full training in the next week)
Broomhead (Same as above)
Shaz (They'll take their time with him, given this is his 3rd ACL)
Wells (resuming full training next week or two)
Taylor Adams (out for another 4-5 weeks)
Will Hoskin Elliott (Another 2-3 weeks)
Ben Reid (God knows with him)

In fairness - didnt you just win the flag without most of those blokes?

Yeah....but their opponents in Round 1 are significantly better than the rabble who trotted out against them in the GF last year :p

At this stage, looks like Brad (Calf) and Stephen Hill (Quad), Conor Blakely (Hamstring), Brennan Cox (Hamstring), Sam Switkowski (Hamstring), Griffin Logue (Hamstring), Aaron Sandilands (Calf), possibly Matt Taberner (Calf) and Cam McCarthy (Knee knock).

Add to that Hugh Dixon (Adductor), Harley Bennell (Calf), Shane Kersten with a navicular, Luke Valente with a groin and Brandon Matera who is suspended.
14 missing going into round one
Anyone want our S and C team?

Edit: also doesn't include Sam Sturt who got shit mixed and only played a half and probably needs every bone in his body replaced or some shit

Missing round 1:
Hooker (top 10 player)
Gleeson (best 18 player)

A few up and coming guys like Redman and Begley who would have strong claims to be best 22 if they were fit as well.

All in all a really healthy list, although it must be said that about 5 of our top 7 or 8 players have only recently returned to full training and practice matches so there could be a few underdone - this includes Daniher, Smith, Fantasia, Merrett and Heppell.

Did Freo steal the Crows 2018 training program from Brett Burton?
