It's interesting with this new Satan rule since its been introduced
Lambert has really struggled, last year he was mainly used as 7th defender running through the back of t h e square, and then move Into the midfield
He can't do that any more, obviously, he can do lock down roles and he can kick goals, he can run all day, ,I would play him half forward and make him accountable for the opposite best running defender, , and if n needed a run through the middle as well, he seems confused with his rolein the side, give him this new job and I think he will flourish
Wouldn't call 8 votes struggling

CARLTON v RICHMOND

8 Kane Lambert (RICH)
6 Patrick Cripps (CARL)
4 Toby Nankervis (RICH)

I’d be happy if we can stay on the positive side of the ledger upto r15 or there abouts (ie 8-7 or similar) By then we have our best side up and running and hitting their straps at the pointy end of the season. Lynch is settled and playing his best footy Jack is back and it has that 2017 smell about it.

roll out Rance for the grand final

Honestly I’m taking conca over Ellis every day of the week

Conca was a lot of things but not soft

Such a big thing is made about a top 4 finish but with the late bye I don’t reckon it’s impossible to win a GF outside of the top 4 (we could of done it in 2017). It really comes down to who is hitting their straps and has the healthiest list coming into the finals.
We’ll put our best side on the field later in the season (maybe not Rancey) and do some major damage in the meantime keep our head above water

dogs proved you can do anything football-wise with a bit of luck and good form

we got a lot of good players too - if the tigers can make 8th or higher they would have to be some chance. pre-season favorites with the book makers

Now that Conca is gone we may romantisize over what he could do but when the whips were truly cracking in that prelim final he showed his true abilities as a battler, fumbled his way thru the game and turned it over again and again. We don't need Conca.

At least the melting seems to have more or less blown over now.

Whether we like it or not Dimma isn’t going to make wholesale changes this week. He’ll make the forced changes but outside of that probably only 1 or 2 other players will be coming out.

I really hope Butler and Markov are those two changes outside the forced changes.

Ouch, wouldn't really put the fear thru many back lines but it's the best we have really.

Lambert to the bench/wing...

Short to the VFL....

if Dusty is being uber-tagged play him at full forward. i dont understand how this isnt obvious

Since they came to the club to when Conca left I always thought Conca was the better player than Ellis... and Grigg, and Short, and a few others

Conca is fair from perfect and not worth 2mill but he went ok

Why are we dropping shorty again?

Grigg has been 5 times the player Conca ever was, Ellis is bog average but he's still a premiership player and helped us jag a flag.

With all the dust settled i find myself extremely pissed off with Dylan Grimes

Grimes should really take a good hard look at himself and question his leadership and discipline
How can you let your self have such a brain fart being a senior player and risk getting suspended with Rance & Riewoldt injured

Im sure he would be regretting what he had done and will come back better but the question needs to be asked of him about that incident

Consistently one of our best, most disciplined player, had a brain snap, we weren't gonna win next week anyway happy for him to have a rest.

Traded him to freo for a slab says it all.

that’s a huge assumption
my bet is dimma tries to hang on to the season by playing retreads
I don’t think he will.
This season should be looked at as a free swing really. We are seriously looking at 2-4 or even 1-5 right in the eyes here so might as well get something out of it.

And Hardwick is pretty much safe for 6-8 years not matter how bad he is

he should do some long term stuff for a change

Well he has in the past and I don’t agree at all if you’re saying he’s bad. But yes I think he’s smart enough to see the personnel needs some tinkering.

fingers crossed
we can all see the future is in balta, garth, cj, bolton, ross, rcd, stack etc.
blooding these guys early and getting a good chunk of games into them can only be positive. it’s a pretty good underbelly of young talent if we can harness it. and if we can push some of it through in the next 2 seasons we will be better placed then we were in 2013-17, imo

Are the days of 1 on 1 footy dead? It may be archaic this day and age but surely Dimma could see what was unfolding and had to throw a spanner into their game plan, it was just too easy for them.
This
Would love the old "Dimma's Dissection" to come back - would like to ask him why, when it became bleeding obvious that Collingwood were picking our zone to shreds, we did not go one-on-one all over the ground to stop the bleeding.

Was told "the majority of people in prison are collingwood supporters" recently

Question: What do they call a Collingwood supporter in a suit?

Answer: “the accused”

Hehe

legit cant see us winning a game till the hawforn match
shut up you idiot o_O i could write a book on your visions. did you see us making the finals in 2014, winning the flag, dusty re signing , signing 100,000, recruiting lynch.

I've never understood calls for wholesale changes early in the season. Imo it's a sign of throwing in the towel for the season and says "Nope we are done". Coaches should never do it at this time of the season, just screams giving up to me.

We've been shit since the last 3 happened.
