Your looking at inside mids for speed then yes but on the outside with players like HRS , Rioli x 2 , Campbell , Smith , Clarke coming through then you probably not familiar with the list or the younger players

You had one of the best pLayers of all time in your midfield mix. Cotchin was also pacey too and provides that balance. People forget how good those 2 were are, particularly Cotchin

None genuinely believe that he worth that. Moreso hopeful that suns would overpay due to the long term contract and the fact they'll take minimum selections in the draft and are desperate for a quality half back.

• Media rumours of (insert pick paid) crop up. We complain about being weak at the trade table again and paying through the nose. Can attribute at least part of this to an awful trade history (our first 10-15 years were malpractice).
• Insert comments revolving around what his best position is.
• Trade announced. See above.
• Draft day comes. Shiny new toy gets taken with (insert pick paid) or a pick adjacent to it. Again PTSD from trade history activated.
• By the beginning of 2025 the tide might turn, and by the end of it we'll be talking about how his impact goes far beyond the stats and the trade was a good one.
• (Bonus extra: there will be some angry comments if he gets the Conca/Jaeger "leadership group before playing a game" treatment)
