I'd like to address the wider board about the fine handed today to Geelong. While the fine is a slap on the wrist, it is deeply concerning and speaks to a lack of proper governance at the club.
It was this same lack of governance and cavalier attitude which led to the Essendon doping scandal.
I'm not comparing these two at all. But things can snowball. I'll hug my loved ones a bit tighter tonight. If this can happen at my club, it can happen anywhere.

- having acreage drive you THAT nuts? Hell, RICHMOND had a farmer playing in their premiership teams each week. Where the hell did he get his land from? Maybe Gale was paying Dylan Grimes to live at Mt Macedon Winery for the last 8-9 years…..Maybe Josh Daicos and Annalise Dalins purchasing their ‘forever home’ this year for $2 million had some help?? Or is it only farmland near the peninsular that can be assisted by footy teams?

All you needed was 4 genuinely standout games to win and that was made abundantly clear at the start of the season when Lyon explained the award system and it was pretty clear early on that Dangerfield had 3 massive matches. Then guess what? He went quiet. So he didn’t get any points. Then he had the biggest final out of anyone and got points again. Big surprise he got points again

Kurt Tippett has been fined $50,000 and suspended for half the 2013 AFL season while the Adelaide Crows have been fined $300,000 for breaching the salary cap and tampering with the draft. Yeah, same as what Geelong did...

It was the same thing. The rule broken was not declaring the TPP.
The salary cap was not exceeded even with the TPP added in.
Difference is we didnt have an insider in AFL house.
