This is why I don't get how anyone can back in the Essenscum negotiating stance. Their best player and club captain clearly has hostility against the place now - having him back is not a win under any circumstances. Would also be a shocking example to the other players or any other players looking to go there in the future. Also pissing off Petoro isn't exactly a wise move. Genuinely amateur club.

Yep...hard to imagine two years ago we were disappointed to miss out on Ben McKay.

The thing with Ben McKay was he was a free agent. So a free hit, with a ludicrous salary.

Was also the better option than Ratatouille, who we were also apparently chasing. That Geelong wanted way overs for trade wise, with also an overblown salary.

Thankfully we got the money ball picks in Mass, Ginni and Gunners instead.
