Flew from Honolulu to Melbourne on Jetstar. The 2nd food service continued up and back for over 2 hours. I think they kept going up and back until they had sold out of everything. Every other flight I have been on they go down once and that's it.
They usually explode don't they.
As a kid I use to put half bottles in the freezer for 1-3 hours and then shake them and you would end up with a slurpee. One day it must of froze around the lid and when I undid it the gas came out after I had the cap off and exploded in my face. Soft drink all...
It is a opt in but I thought they were being nice and offering a payment plan for me. Instead they are being a much of campaigners that are and trying to get my money long before I have to give it to them.
After doing my tax this year and having to pay I get a message from the ATO on a quarterly installment plan. When I looked at it the numbers didn't seem to add up. A closer inspection reveled this wasn't for what was owed this year but for what they believe I will most likely owe next year. So...
I believe that's been a large part of the issue. A lot of people haven't come off a fixed rate to be affected yet. Plus a lot of people also topped up there off set accounts over covid. The interest rate rises haven't had the effect they normally would've had in that amount of time.
Interesting is I did my tax last week. For only the 2nd time I had to pay and they were complete on the very first working day. At best I get my tax back and paid within 7 days including the weekend. This was done on Sunday and by Monday afternoon they had my bill ready to be paid to them.
If this was true they would be marketed and sold in supermarkets and dished up in restaurants everywhere.
It was either Bourdain or Zimmern who said the best cooks come from the poorest places as they can't waste food and need to make things that don't taste very good eatable.
Not once but twice yesterday had cars turning right pull out over the line into the intersection only not to go when the lights changed. One had to have cars moves slightly into the next lane to get around while the other blocked the pedestrian crossing.
When you pull out past the line you...
Chinese food in western chinese restaurants is typically drowned in sauces that are high in sugar. Yeah you have lots of veggies in it but the sauce is far from healthy.
This right here. You don't maintain a 130kg body unless you continually eat enough food to maintain a 130kg body. And for the average person that is a lot more food than they should be eating.
The funniest are the ones who merge when a lane ends in bumper to bumper traffic early on a freeway. You have another 300 metres ahead of you before you need to join that queue. I go past them and laugh as it's 10 less cars or so I gotta sit behind.
It's the main reason freeways don't function and move as well as they should. When cars merge 10-20k below the limit it causes a whole flow on effect across multiple lanes and evidently in heavy traffic brings it to almost a standstill.
The worst is sitting in the right hand lane 10kmh under the limit on multi lane freeways. They always seemed to be annoyed they have a convoy of cars up their arse.
And the joining a freeway at 80kmh and even worse are the ones who want to merge into the middle lanes in a instance while doing...
My parents friends from Finland have claimed they find winter in Melbourne colder than Helsinki in winter. Yes it is way colder outside in Helsinki but indoors you are always comfortable due to good insulation on buildings that holds the heat at a consistent temp. In Melbourne it is impossible...
Loved ruffles BBQ back in the day was probably late 80's early 90's. Costco use to sell really big bags of ruffles plain that were really good.
The ad looks like the Canadian french ruffles where they have IGA's.
I switch it up, can't eat the same ones all the time. Favorites would Smiths Chicken, Samboy Tomato Sauce, Kettle Sea Salt, Doritos Mexican, Burger Rings, Chicken Twisties and Salt Vinegar in Smiths or Thins.
Buy them all the time they work well for indigestion. Anyway I picked up 5 single packets at the supermarket on opening the the 2nd packet they aren't fruit tingles but fruit jubes. Exact same packaging except says fruit jubes on the bottom instead of fruit tingles. Wasn't to unhappy as I hadn't...
Growing up and the number of people who all thought they had nearly won every prize. Asking if you had a mayfair to swap for one of the 10 park lanes they have. Um no that's not how it works. A lot of people just didn't get it and probably still don't.
This is slightly flawed as it is based on current numbers. 2nd doses will start to double as first doses drop off so those figures will shorten quickly. Others have suggested end of October to very early November for 80% 2nd dose. The supply coming in between now and then suggests that to be the...
The low vaccinate rate comes down to age demographic of the area. Being a large growth corridor on the cities fringe it is a large population of under 40's.
