Don't think it's been mentioned here but apparently Gunston and Ginnivan had hamstring soreness after the game as per Xander Maguire. Hope there's nothing in it but we saw what happened with Dear

Dear is realistically the only player in the mix to play next week. MacKenzie would need to be BOG for Box Hill tomorrow to be in calculations. Jiath is the one that will likely have to make way for someone.

Thoughts below

. Newcombe an absolute beast. Playing like he's the best in the comp. Didn't put a step wrong
. Ward had a coming of age game. Very clean neat player and a fantastic kick on the run
. Scrimshaw was fantastic intercepting. Should never have been in the conversation to be dropped
.Weddle has as much potential as anyone I've ever seen. However he really needs to learn how to kick accurately
. Gunston with another Benjamin Button game.
. Wizard was wasteful at times but a constant threat.
. Lewis once again just didn't fire. Can't say with certainty Dear would have done better but if we manage to make the grand final and both are available, Sam Mitchell has a big call to make.
. CJ once again just a straight liability. Regardless of injuries or availability I just don't know how we can justify picking him again. In a tight game he might be the difference between winning and losing
. Worpel played as well as he has done in a while . He only got caught holding the ball once which is a win for him.

Overall very happy but now another week of nerves

He had four shots on goal playing on the wing, those are the kind of numbers we are dreaming of. He just needs to turn that into 3.1 instead.

Scrim played a hell of a game, really stepped up to turn any attack into rebound, thought it was huge in how impactful we were early. Combined with Sicily starting like his usual self and the wizard turning it on we looked very confident for an on the road final.

That gws game was huge for us.

Newcombe really is the messiah, just keeps lifting the bigger the game is

Seriously how good is this jumper?!! I wouldn't mind at all if that was out home strip. Its the perfect balance of heritage and simple minimalist graphics and somehow (against all known laws of fashion) manages to make the brown and gold (lets be honest yellow) look really great together.

Two players we really can't afford to lose. Even in this game, Ginnivan was drawing attention and running. And we know how good Gunston is.

A lot of players have niggles so hopefully the longer break does them well.

Well, that was a helluva lot more enjoyable than the past two times I’ve made the trek over to Adelaide to watch the mighty Hawks in the past year!

We are every chance to win the flag if we can keep that up for two more matches.

Sam said Ginni and Impey were sore from last week but not injured so they were rested late tonight and, according to the medical team, will actually be better next week than they were for this game. Might be coach speak but hopefully this is in fact the case.
