The number 3 to inspire Basti all the way to victory. :thumbsu:

1. Bastinac
2. Grima
3. Sirra/Levi dead heat

I'm gonna bet my money on the new kid in town and go with Siera for victory.

Followed closely by Basti and Grima.

Is anyone else concerned that whenever we recruit a player from another club, they always seem to outperform our players in the fitness stakes?

a little, yes. If Richo was running he might've made it a hat trick.

OR, you might just look at it as recruiting based on needs. Two seasons ago we could not run out 3 quarters let alone 4. Now we've brought in Richo, Gibbo and Sierra, Basti and Jmac who are all outperforming the rest. Why not look at it as a tick to Bryce?

...or even 6 ticks?

Seems like the blokes who come in are not as muscle bound as the guys who have been around for a while (Richo, Sirra, Gibson, Basti in his first year) hence their distance running is better but they tire during a physical endurance game.

No. It might be something that we target in trades/drafting.

I reckon the last game was lost due to fitness was Round 9 last year against Brisbane.

Gibbo won't tire, as has been reported, but confirmed from a mate who played with him at Box Hill, he's a running beast. He played with both Pedo and Gibbo. He's wrapped to see Gibbo get picked up and reckons he's ready to go for a stint in the seniors and should impress.

Not sure what order i'd put them, but skills & endurance are two hurdles that must be overcome.

It's good to have another strong runner on the list. At worst it provides our better runners with greater competition. As for being concerned about the new blokes being stronger runners than those on our list I'm not bothered tbh. The young midfield blokes we do have will get fitter as they develop but already have the application to smack into packs al day long. That's what will win us games.

Is he an inside player or an outside player? And if he's an outsider, is he quick?

Have always thought Gibbo would be most likely to impact immediately out of our new recruits. He would have broken into most teams last season if he was on a list and I suspect being around an elite environment now he'll go up another notch.

Impressive to see the new and improved Gibbo won the race. Is he a silly chance to play round 1 or do we need an injury for that to occur?
