Congratulations st Mary's reserves, could have gone either way, great to watch, you had us in the first two quarters, we blitzed you in the third, yet as all year, you just got over the line in the last quarter.

Super performance from Cory McCall and his team to get Watsonia up today. Epping had the star players but were nullified by Watsy pressure and run. Sad to say goodbye to Dickie Moore on such a note but has been a champion. Maybe a few more need to be moved on. It's been a super season of Div 3 and with laurimar & Resevoir announcing coaches 2017 looks intriguing!! Congratulations Watsonia

Watsy play a great team first style of footy. Was good to not hear tbe pingers chirp away though.

New to this league. Watched the div3 finals. Both seniors and reserves showed how important a good coach is in this division. Seniors were able to cover all eppings moves. Spoke to a local who said epping changed their side about a bit. No.30? Strange thing to do in a grand final. Watsonia had beter setups around the ball ups and were able to get the ball out and use there runners.
Reserves. I have never seen so many rotations in a division 3 reserve game especially south morang. Looked like they were being done for ? Reason. Must mean you have some of your best players on the pine when they are fresh.?
Overall 2 good games. Impressed with standard of the ground but not the beer.

I actually know this guy going for presidency well. His a gun of a guy. We asked him for sponsorship and he had no issues at all. The bloke sponsors a lot of charities , works with the mill park salvos , and works with disadvantaged kids programs. He puts his money where his mouth is. We run a lot of programs for homeless and disadvantaged. He helps out with his resources. good luck to him I say!!!!

This is very true , very generous and down to earth loyal guy , will help any way he can is what I hear
He doesn't like the culture or certain people in power in the way they behave and carry themselves so has put himself up to change things and not just talk about it ?? can only admire that as lots of people criticise but do not stand up when it counts.
From what I hear some of the people running the club have a bit of a junket going and know that if he gets in this will stop?

Thats interesting. Big news for Lalor. IM sure I read that Marshall was head of football. To me that would mean still a role come game day. Maybe King play and coach on ground and Marshall on the bench.

Like to get everyone thoughts on reservoir and Doreen coming into 3rd div with no under 19's it's hard enough to work with the 19's at our own club with playing at other venues on match day I find it a lot of hard work and to have so many clubs without 19's in div 2 and div 3 it's becoming a joke the Nfl have a real problem

Many years ago the thirds were under 17. the league played around with the age-group, going to u18s and then u19s I believe more clubs could field a thirds side if it reverted back to u17s.
Any thoughts any-one?

It's great for the nfl to get more club into 3rd diviy, but the new sides Ressa & Laurimar will get a couple of good players from other clubs around them but the rest will be old blokes thinking they can still play seniors & should play super's..

St Mary's started off with under 19's for 2 years before they got seniors and reserves which I think has been great for that club as they have built a stable platform
Maybe Larimar should start there

In my opinion they should look at getting rid of the u19 and go u18s played on Sunday arvo and just have snrs and reserves on Saturday

Heidelberg banyule Macleod west have all been located within a few Km's of each other and have had to deal with it, I'm sure sm mernda and Whittlesea will find a way to survive. South morang and laurimar have huge junior programs and every year when the under 19's graduate those who don't get a game in the seniors will move on to another club.. A bit rich if sm or mernda complain in my opinion. IMO it's great for the competition

No complaints from Mernda, we should start to get kids coming through from our jnrs in two years after a lot of hard work.

Much prefer u19s on a Friday night. Could kick off @530pm & play 2 games at each venue. Big crowds , $$ spent over bar. Worked a treat 25yrs ago at epping. Then the young boys have all weekend to party up. You'd get more involved.
