Sonsie looks clean and composed.

Knevitt looks like a bit of a scrapper in comparison, IMO.

I share the same opinion. If Sonsie can get stronger, improve his fitness base a lot more and become more aggressive in the contest he could be a star. That kind of elite talent people were speaking of in 2019, just does not disappear. More chance of becoming an elite mid at AFL level in Knevitt I think.

We need to add as much talent as we can to the team for our next premiership tilt. Personally I don't care who we pick with our next two picks as long as they are quality footballers with a really good work ethic. Maybe they won't have the potential ceiling as the athlete types but you are getting a high floor.

The other possibility from the "toxic management" theory is that he just isnt rated that highly by other clubs.

Or more accurately, some other clubs had someone they wanted more - for any number of reasons (list need, etc).

Richmond and Hawthorn are considering trading up to Fremantle’s pick 21 to secure the draft’s hardluck story in WA midfielder Matthew Johnson on Thursday night.
Subiaco midfielder Johnson was a picture of grief when he was invited to an AFL draft function, but instead sat with his family as he was overlooked with the first 20 selections.

Fremantle is now in the box seat to either select the 192cm hybrid midfielder, rated by the AFL inside the top 10 and by many clubs in the 10-13 bracket.




Johnson’s parents were upset that he was overlooked on draft night as he sat disconsolate at RAC Arena in Perth after the first round finished.

But the AFL told the family they had believed he might be in the first 10 players picked so would always have invited him to the function.
