[PLAYERCARD]Sam Butler[/PLAYERCARD] of interest , zippy ,speedy ,smart, forward/midfielder has been said to be ths years version of zac butters, brother of Dan Butler. Not bad size at 184cms.

Some other points from this:

- We are definitely hot on Draper

- I wouldn't say Murley is too small, but he gives off Sam Gray vibes to me. I'm not all that interested.

- Jackson is slender but he's also probably in the top 3 contested juniors i've seen in the last 10 years, so he's probably well ahead of others who are bigger.

- NWM is exciting and isn't a Crow. He's probably a late teens/20's pick. I really like him. But there is some bust potential there.

- Not really keen on any of the WA talls at our first pick and they'll all be gone by our next pick at this stage

- Liddy would be a good late/rookie pick. I liked him last year and was surprised he didnt get a crack as a rookie somewhere.

- Breuer's lad is another ball magnet and he'll definitely get picked up somewhere i'd think.
Under rating Murley , much quicker then Gray, prob go mid late 2nd rd.

From the main board:

14. Arlo Draper
Best position:
Inside midfield/general forward
Height, weight: 185cm, 71kg
Recruited from: South Adelaide
Projected draft range: 5-25
Plays like: James Harmes
June ranking: Outside top-20
Rationale: On the back of a strong month of midfield play splitting his time between the SANFL Under-18s and Reserves, Draper has earned his way into the top-20. What's immediately striking with Draper is while his frame is light, he's one of South Australia's premier contested ball winners and stoppage players. The bonus is that he's a dual position threat with his capabilities forward of centre. Draper's 10 goals from his eight Under-18 matches greatly add to the appeal. Draper will miss some time with an ankle injury, but his stocks are unlikely to be impacted as someone who has proven himself over a long period of time.
Strengths:
Contested ball winning
Tackling
Stoppage craft
Composure in traffic
Clean hands
Lowers his eyes for kicks inside 50m
Overhead marking
Contested marking
Agility
Evasion
Acceleration
Takes on the game with his run
Influential both through the midfield and up forward
Scoreboard impact
Weaknesses:
Strength
Lack of outside accumulation
Inconsistent kick placement

Yeah if we happen to make a GF and we end up with pick 17-18 then he's someone that comes into consideration for sure. Don't mind him.

I see Leek Alleer had 5 contested marks in that same game. Imagine having 2x Aliir (or is that 3x).
Would be pretty good to see Leek Alleer and Kyle Chalmers down back in the Prison Bars at SANFL level next year.

Wanganeen-Milera. Thought there was the possibility we could pick him up for absolutely nothing a year ago but suspect he’s moving up the boards a little. What I like about him is as he goes up a level he gets better there's a bit of size about him, maybe ends up close to 190cm? Maybe plays a little taller? Gives the feel there's serious upside.

30-40 range I've no idea were he sits now?

Ok we don’t have a real need with Burgoyne being similar but Nasiah could be very good.

Three years after being overlooked by Brisbane as a father-son pick, son of a gun Casey Voss has rocketed into AFL draft calculations.
A shift from the midfield to halfback midway through last season has seen the 20-year-old son of Lions legend Michael Voss become one of the SANFL’s most reliable players, shutting down opponents while also proving to be an offensive weapon.

With three minor round series remaining, Voss is the third-highest ranked Champion Data ranking points defender in the competition, averaging 105.

Just read the Tsier story. Anyone watch enough SANFL to say how realistic a chance he is to be a late pick.

Terry Milera’s son , very talented family , Terry’s two brothers Tim and Ian probably had more talent than Terry but liked a drink too much , if he’s a good dedicated kid yea be good to give him a go

So what’s stopping port from taking Jason as a port father / son? A legal document?

It’s an interesting test of the rules.
Hahaha would have been amazing if Flash had the 100 games and a legal document made him eligible for a father son.

Imagine the melts from AFL house and oh my goodness imagine the West lakes out cry.

Oh well, what could have been lol

I’ve watched this kid as well as Roberts and Issac , Roberts is a seriously smart footballer . Draper is one I’d take the punt on if we can get him with our first.played soccer most of his life the when he came to footy at about 14 kick 100 goals in his first year. Could be that big modern mid we have been looking for years. Issac is more a flanker.

On his podcast this week Twomey didn't have Burgoyne in his top 40 players which it thought was interesting. Usually Twomey's opinion is pretty close to the general recruiter outlook so its probably safe to assume at the moment that he is fair way back.

I think he's actually had a pretty good year. Dominated the under 18s as you would expect and has been promoted to play reserves where it looks like he has been decent (avg 18 disposals 96% disposal efficiency). Looked good in his league games for Port as a real skinny kid against big burly men. In his team of the year he has put Isaac Birt in from South and at least from a statistical standpoint Birt is inferior to Burgoyne in most categories and has played U18's all year (which granted is most likely a flawed comparison).

Works for us I guess, I think we might be getting a bargain. If he is taken past 40 I can't see as having any points issues, although haven't done the maths to check.

Best mid available with our first thanks if that's Roberts I would be rapt but can see him still being available at pick 18😉

The AFL has updated the dates and times for the NAB AFL U19 Championships scheduling a showcase of talent to take place over the next two months across Australia in the build up to the 2021 NAB AFL Draft in November.

I don’t rate Birt, bit like a Bonner with not as good leg.

If we could get Draper or Roberts as well Burgoyne then a KPP late that would would be another great draft.
