How do you see a wines drew roberts midfield working together? Any concern about speed / spread from stoppages and containing other quick stoppage mids?Roberts potentially dropping to our pick would be amazing

Or think we can get around that by rotating butters / rozee / Amon / Bergman through the middle and splitting those three up when needed ?
Or just not see it as an issue?
I’ve brought up that with boak and gray near the end that’s nearly 10 clearances a game we need to replace.
Reckon grays (as a impact guy rather than starter through there 3 clrs get collectively replaced by improvement and more midfield time from butters drew rozee Amon and co.
But we still need a top clearance player that can get those 5-7 clearances a game for life post boak. But I do worry about balance with that mid not being too similar to wines and drew.
I’ve only watched 2 games from ward, what would he be like as a fit for our midfield?

I’d move up to get him, getting him or Draper means a better chance of getting Horne home as well.I like Ward and think he'd be a good Boak replacement if we were to get him. I reckon he'll be gone by then though.
I don't see an issue with Roberts fitting into our midfield either. The best part about him is he can play anywhere. He's good up forward, he's good in the backline and he's good in the midfield. Can easily see him fitting in somewhere else and then moving to the midfield later on. As i've said before, I reckon Roberts is match quick in terms of his smarts. By the time he's really ready to play as a regular midfielder Boak & Gray will be gone and Wines will be pushing 30.
He would absolutely be best player available if he was to fall to our pick as it stands right now
8. Bodhi Uwland (Gold Coast - Academy)
Best position: Inside midfield/general defence
Height, weight:185cm, 84kg
Recruited from: Gold Coast
Projected draft range: 20-60
Plays like: Luke Hodge
July ranking: 12
Rationale: With the way he has shown he can impact games in his two NAB League matches and with how he has held his own and progressed in the VFL since, Uwland's stocks should only continue to rise as scouts in clubland see more of him. With his damaging and penetrating kick, contested ball winning and how he bursts through stoppages and shrugs tackles so easily, there is sizeable scope to develop.
Strengths:
Penetrating and damaging but reliable kick
Kicks placed out to the advantage side for teammates to lead onto
Decision making with ball in hand
Vision
Contested ball winning
Powerful shrugging of tackles
Aggression
Physical edge
Evasion
Agility
Acceleration
Leap
Versatility to impact games either through the midfield, defence or across half-forward
Weaknesses:
Endurance
Work rate

Who has real speed in this crop? That Clarke, Petrucelli type speed?
I’m surprised by Burgoyne’s lack of rating. Maybe it’s a combination of some concerns but also know he is going to port so why put the time in and why bother?
Thoughts on Erasmus?

If Draper or Roberts got to us, pants down lap around the table time. Goater too wouldn’t be bad and there are a couple of Vic midfielders who have shown promise and would be worth a shot if we some how got a second rounder.

the WA talls would be great if we can a second rounder
Thanks Lore. Will continue to watch your thread in the off season like previous years, as picks traded away and compo picks inserted.Hey guys, scuse the intrusion. Thought you might like to have this resource on your board (mods might like to sticky):
We're can we watch today's game?
It might be on the afl app but that is YouTube. Is that the AFL app M8?
Sa midfield has been astonishingly badThese wa talls are way too good for Sa. Williams, Bazzo, Amiss. They are supposed to be late first rounders. Sa look very ordinary.
I’ve liked bazzo. I’ve been hot on it all year saying that his move forward and slide down draft boards will result in him getting picked up by west coast with a nothing pick and then turn into a first 22 player and everyone asking why they didn’t pick him.
He’s exactly what our list needs. If he’s going to slide I hope we trade into a pick and nab him.
