Yes if there’s one thing football commentators are known for, it’s their elocution…

The ones who wind up regulars on national broadcasters tend to. They have blokeish mannerism (too much IMO) and they try for banter too hard, but they nail the call.

Fix that, and bring a few more superlatives in the rotation, he'd get there.

Where do you see Willo at the moment MSD, thought he may have come on under a Voss contested gameplan but seems to be struggling

Willo seems to fit into a category in which the club is quite well served, i.e. running defenders. I think the problem for Willo is that he doesn't always provide effective run. I'd almost go as far as saying he has a touch of Paul Bower about his game. He knows how to get the ball, he's confident to run with it, but there isn't always rhyme nor reason as to what he's doing with it.

Without wanting to be too harsh, I think Willo's football reflects where he was selected in his draft year. He looked quite good in year 1 on our list, but I don't think his footy has grown from that & perhaps has even gone backwards.

Looks like we struggled to get the ball. Good to see Philp with some clearances though, maybe he's a chance later this year.

Otherwise just Carroll + Willow.

Perhaps some of the dropped players were given roles, like O'Brien?

Yep, if TDK and Mirkov don't really improve it's a massive hole on our list that should be a priority come off season.

Also we don't have a single backup KPF to cover McKay or Curnow. TDK again not cutting it as a forward.

Agree but both are 22. One has little or no junior development. Give them time, but Pit is our most important player. Could be asking for a big price at his next contract.

Just the -20 on disposals, clearances fairly even. It was the quality of these. We were getting harassed out of our chains of possession.

Just saw Plowman, Boyd, Motlop in the captains run video so suspect none of them are playing vfl. Couldn't see Dow so he must be playing. Can't imagine they would bring all 4 over.

Would be disappointing for Dow if he was the sub again, potentially missing 2 games
