Funny how that happens, you mention someone and out of the blue they pop up

Rams signed QB Carson Wentz.
The signing of Wentz is a “splash” in the eerily quiet free agent quarterback market. Wentz, who is now on his fourth team in four seasons, will have a chance to serve as the backup to Matthew Stafford after a poor one-start outing by Brett Rypien in Week 8. Wentz went 2-5 as a starter with the Commanders last season, throwing for 1755-11-9 while infamously losing against the Browns to eliminate the Commanders from playoff contention. The former No. 2 overall pick is a shell of what he once was in 2017 when he threw for 3296-33-7 in an MVP caliber season, but is a more capable backup than Rypien or the now released Dresser Wynn. The Rams are on bye this week, and head coach Sean McVay said he expects Matthew Stafford (thumb) to be back by Week 11, meaning Wentz is little more than an insurance policy at this point.

common sense

Titaninsder.com’s Terry McCormick reports the Titans have named Will Levis their starting quarterback.
What this means is, no matter how healthy Ryan Tannehill is, the Titans will opt to go with Levis. Coach Mike Vrabel said “Everything we do we do in the best interest of the football team.” He also stated that he wants Tannehill to continue to prepare as if he were the starter, but that “there is clearly something there with Levis…” This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as Levis lit up the Falcons and their blown coverages for four touchdown passes in his debut. Levis will get a chance to prove that he is the Titans’ franchise quarterback of the future.

Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) was overheard after the Jets’ Week 9 loss to the Chargers saying he would return “in a few weeks.”
Asked by Chargers S Derwin James when he would be back in the lineup, Rodgers said, “Give me a few weeks.” Rodgers, eight weeks removed from tearing his Achilles, was seen Monday night doing his regular pregame throwing routine for the cameras. Rodgers, 39, seems insistent that he will return from his Achilles injury this season — a truly remarkable turn of events for what is usually a 10-12 month injury. Garrett Wilson would instantly become a top fantasy receiver if Rodgers were to return at full health in November or December.

With Stafford's injury capabilities, there's every chance Carson plays some time this season.

Hope it goes well for him, would like to see him do alright.

Really bizarre that they signed Baker late last year and weren't able to keep him. I really felt they should have gone harder to extend the deal with all the doubt on Stafford ( Rams probably did be he got a better offer)

Wentz is pretty much the same play. Let's see how it works out.

I mean I'm happy to watch Washington but I do agree Giants v Cowboys is a much better game to ok thats as far as I got without laughing.

But yes both games suck

It's not. Giants are awful, and the Cowboys have completely owned them in recent times. Given how the Cowboys love to front run, it has 30 point margin written all over it.

Not really bizarre, they were hard up against the cap, thats why they got rid of Ramsey, couldn't afford to sign Baker.

Just look at SNF week 1.

Saw this on Facebook and couldn’t stop laughing.

Rumor has it that Arthur Smith's favorite approach to chess is sacrificing his queen early so he can prove how smart he is with just pawns.

Best analogy yet.
