I though Sam was good, but that sack was bad, just chuck it away. Always done dumb s**t like that at the completely wrong time unfortunately.

2 games, thats a hell of a sample size. Ten times less than the people saying hes great. Youre both wrong.
He blows

In AFC North he might be worse than kitten mittens

Well if anyone would know a bad QB when he sees them, it would be a Browns fan.

the gap between a good and bad OL has been growing since they cut practice times down in the 2012 CBA. and it doesnt help that colleges dont run many zone blocking schemes so the new guys come in needing to learn new systems. the last 3-5 years its been getting worse and worse. bad footwork or technique and not learning some blocking schemes till they enter the NFL

I know they have a lot of good players but I still say Aiyuk is criminally under used in SF. Was a run blocker for three quarters. Think he had 1 catch on 1 target entering the 4th.

He's a clear WR1 who gets fed every week somewhere else. If he becomes a free agent he'll be offered huge money, doubt it however as the niners probably franchise him.

Well the dust has settled and Shanahan coming up short at the most crucial times again.

I know the game was gone but the icing on a very poorly made cake was that final drive after Aiyuk got the PI on the 2 yard line. Those play calls were abysmal...crowned by the 7 step drop on 3rd down and sack.

Tge optimist in me says he was playing possum....the realist says we are going to come up short again.

It means if the Ravens make the SB then they are about a 80% chance of winning ;)

Looking for weird, random little stats like that and trying to claim them as instructive is such a fool's errand.

Weirdest nfl season in a long time - no clear favourite; no-one wants the mvp; down about year.
If people were talking about offensive player of the year it would be a 2 horse race between Hill and McCaffrey but because the MVP voters have refused to even think about anyone not a QB its where it ends up like this.

Most stats are just that.

I gave up on the Around the NFL podcast this season when Gregg wouldn't stop ranting about "records" vs "stats". A valid point that most of us agree with the first time. But when it's 8-9 times a week, every time they mention a stat or a record?

Yes I agree, it's tedious.

The 'experts' that talk AFL are just as bad.

Yep if a non-QB doesnt win it this year they never will.

I think CMC should win it - Hill missed two games

If it wasn't already over for Sam Howell with Washington having a top 5 pick it is now, benched two weeks in a row, teams have figured him out, he cant throw to the sidelines, rolls out constantly rather than throwing from the pocket. Offense looks so much better with Brissett.
