If Chad goes west I would prefer him to go to West Coast. Freo are pretty much hitting their prime Chad would be the cherry on the top of the cake sort of player for them.
No way Freo would let go of Serong at this time he's too valuable for them.

I understand that the circumstances may make this trade unlikely but I just feel we have too many burst type on ballers and are short one contested bull. Given that Chad potentially can get back to Perth for a bag of chips in 18 months time, I would have no problem trading him to get a contested bull. But if he wants to stay, no dramas with that as he is a game changer and does some incredible things.

A proven extractor would compliment our midfield mix given we are top heavy with running types as opposed to contested beasts. I wouldn't be averse to a trade involving Chad for Caleb Serong and reunite the brothers. Would Freo take Chad and Corey for Caleb?

I don't think this is that crazy, Serong hasn't been playing that great this season either tbh. He's not that far ahead. Chad is a far more damaging player when he is on. Plus Caleb being a Swans fan I think he would open to it. If the club got in his ear and he asked out, Freo wouldn't get many better returns than Chad. throw in a 2nd rounder idc.

(This is of course is assuming Chad wants to leave)

King would make more sense, even if he's back he's not playing. If BC is any chance to be back this year I doubt they go that way. I'm not the biggest Campbell fan but at worst he's depth and good depth.

I understand that but it would be tough to fit in the rule unless we just don't draft any of the academy guys this year.

We are just awfully tight on senior list spots unless we make some tough calls on players

It would be pretty hard for him to do anything more than what Cootee is currently doing for the side atm. Can't see him really "improving" the side but more so just adding more competition and greater depth to the side if more injuries hit

Depth just in case I guess. I still feel we should have taken a chance on one last year but that’s in the past.

I didn't realise they had a put a timeline on Campbell, albeit a long one.

So yeah, King makes sense to go on the LTI.

I’m not sure on it in terms of timelines but even if long is back they surely don’t play the bloke this year get him right. Thought they said back of the year for BC?

Easily. However it’s just whether we want to. We didn’t last year when there was half our list unavailable. We would only do it if we see him being someone who is afl quality now.

100% agree, a mature bodied ruck or key defender (23-26 years old) would be my preference if we were to have a pick.

Do we really need another key defender with Melican likely to be pushed out when Rampe returns and we would still have Hamling and possibly Snell who could also play there. And in the longer term we also have Riak Andrew?
