Still would have defended this if they didn't bowl batsmen who were all pummelled
Yeah but who do we bring in

We would look way better if Agar and Zamps were our 2 spinners but both unavailable

Starc still injured

Cummins resting up for the more important Test series coming up (he maybe could have played?)

Fact is that after Agar and Zamps, we don't have any good spinners really

The notion this was a difficult pitch is clearly bullshit. Australia struggled against even their pace attack. They have belted ours.

Starc is apparently available they're refusing to play him until the tests.

Our rest policy has been a joke for years

They bowled a hell of a lot more spin than pace (only 13 overs of pace was bowled, 1 over of medium), we actually did alright against their pace, especially towards the end

Getting Starc right for the test series is more important

injuries have ruined our bowling attack unfortunately

We really need to find another spinner, hopefully that proves to be Sangha

Richardson has been a letdown this series but actually hasn't bowled terribly tonight gone for 38 off 8 overs, not terrible

Impressive performance by the Sri Lankan batsmen. They paced their innings well and never looked overly troubled.

Aussie bowling attack was poorly devised, you can’t rely on 20+ overs of all-rounders and part timers when you’re also banking on a second game spinner. They’ll need to make some changes.

Pleased with Jhye’s game - he hit some good areas on a fairly benign wicket. I wonder if dew played a factor, because the ball seemed to come on a lot better in the SL innings. I also saw a number of players wiping the ball with towels.

Starc isn't being rested at all.

Still requires bandaging on his cut hand which is his bowling hand.
As such, the rules prevent him from playing.

We've got 4 of our best bowlers out.
Why don't you tell us who should come in?

Not just the ones that are out, even the backups are injured like Abbott, etc. We have been smashed with injuries and obviously Zampa being out is huge you aren't replacing his quality overnight, then Agar goes down.
