What's the club's motivation to lie in all this?
I think you may be reading too much into it. Infections can be bloody tricky, and difficult to get on top off. I agree with your sentiment about wishing him all the best.Because the club might not now, if it is a drug related issue it could be between the AFL and the medical officer, the club doctor would be prohibited from telling the club until a third strike.
Or it is a mental health problem, and the club knows, and they don't want to advertise it, even though we as in the AFL, the media and the industry is better on mental illness, if it is something like that and you have some kind of anxiety related issue, being in the spotlight probably wont help.
Whatever is going on though, it makes our medical staff look incompetent from the outside looking in. Whatever is going on, I find a 3-4 month infection problem being the least likely of the medical explanations we have been given to date.
Whatever is going on, I hope he is doing well and ends up healthy and happy irl. I mean, our season was over before it began, I'd rather he get whatever ails him right now while we are shithouse all over the park. If they are going to make up stuff, go for something like Ebola, not something you are meant to get over in 2 weeks.
Infection seems like a bad illness to use as a cover story. The longer it goes the more speculation on not just when he gets back but if he might actually be in genuine deep sh*t.
Tried and true 6 week rolling hammies is where it's at. Get close to the 6 week mark and bam, pulled it again at training or just a generic "setback".
Quite a few players if you believe the rumours.Worked beautifully for Harley Bennell.
Luckily we don't deal in rumours here, just the...........sorry couldn't finish that statement without pissing myself.Quite a few players if you believe the rumours.

Fair enough. He's out, we are s**t, why stress about it?Yeah, they can be. Sure. He may have somehow stumbled on one of the extremely difficult to eradicate bacteria. But there hasn't been a mention of which bacteria he is being treated for. NOBODY in the media has ever asked the club during any of the media interviews. Holy sh*t dude, this guy went down in March and it is almost July, are you guys ******* incompetent? Which mutant strain of bacteria has he been exposed to and where did he get it from? Are other players at risk if they break their skin?
There has been silence like when nobody asked the club anything about Shaw or the fiasco that was going on during our time in QLD and EVERYONE apparently knew what was going on.
I mean, not even one of the ambulance chasers has asked anything about this infection.
NEWS BREAK: Corr bitten by a fish and expected to miss some time. 4 months later... wouldn't someone want to know if it was a goldfish or a shark?
LOL what a load of absolute ******* rubbish.Because the club might not now, if it is a drug related issue it could be between the AFL and the medical officer, the club doctor would be prohibited from telling the club until a third strike.

Well we wouldn’t have been as sh*t had he been healthy and playing. He is one of our highest paid players. He signed a 5 year deal. I think It’s fair to question the veracity of the injury given what appears on the outside looking in to be minor and not a typical footy injuryFair enough. He's out, we are sh*t, why stress about it?

We've questioned, it has been answered. I really don't understand why you feel entitled to more.Well we wouldn’t have been as sh*t had he been healthy and playing. Yes, let's invent stuff for which there is absolutely no evidence and ignore everything that the club and Aidan has said himself. Occam's Razor ffs.
Which bacteria did he say he was infected with?
Hurleys could be related to an injection program..Michael Hurley out for the entire season with an infection as well.

There has been video of him walking around in one of those shoes that is meant to keep weight off your toe (I didn't know such things existed) in the last month or so at training.Because the club might not now, if it is a drug related issue it could be between the AFL and the medical officer, the club doctor would be prohibited from telling the club until a third strike.

Worse rumours being said off here. My info is it is a serious infection that is very worrying for all concerned. Hopefully the club will update members soon with some facts.I can’t believe some of the things that have been said on here.
