A timely reminder of how screwed you guys are for the finals, no ball, no chance, you will get smashed this week by brisbane, you are the biggest over achievers, just like richmond were a couple of years ago, such a shame, i thought the power would be the team most likely to go out in straight sets, but looks like you have now taken that mantle. Oh, and only hope the hawks don't make the finals.

yawn...

We were supposedly no chance at the beginning of the year, everyone had us coming last or near last. Write us off at your own peril. I guess you haven't learnt the lesson.

I am a brisbane based brisbane supporter, but if you check the hawthorn board you would see that one of your troll faced coke sniffing losers posted the same thing on the their board, so maybe mine is the return of serve, now we seem to be in a volleying rally

First rule of Message Boards guys - Don't feed the trolls!! Crawl back in your hole Acuguy before you give all Brisbane supporters a bad name.

As a Brisbane supporter I see this as a real danger game. Brisbane really set themselves for Collingwood last week and there is a chance of a let down if Sydney come out breathing fire.

Sydney seem to getting a few injury problems at just the wrong time whereas Brisbane (touch wood) seem to be getting our injured players back just in time. What's the prognosis on Williams' ankle?

Who do you guys see Kirk picking up? Where Brisbane has fired in the last 3 weeks has been the improved midfield output. We smashed Collingwood and North at the clearances and had both games under control at quarter time. Believe me, as much as I still think Brisbane can and will win the flag, our record in close matches is woeful to be honest. If Sydney run both ways all day, don't panic when Brisbane get a run on at some stage and can get O'Loughlin and Hall to be dangerous and hurt us on the scoreboard when it goes inside 50 this should be a good match.

Where I'm hoping we have an advantage is in the ruck (not rocket science to pick Sydney's ruck as a weakness since Ball's injury) and Jonathon Brown. To be honest, I just can't work out who you guys are going to run with him.

I think it will be close and just hope Brisbane can get up by a goal or two. Anyone coming up for the game? Weather is sensational as usual ;)

Finally a sensible post from an opposition supporter wanting to discuss the game rationally.

Here's my view:
- Akermanis will be too quick for Kirk, I see the Captain either going on Voss or Black. Voss is my tip. This leaves Crouch to go up against Akermanis.
- Saddington is terribly out of form, that leaves Leo Barry or Craig Bolton to go up against Brown. Heath James is tipped to return this week, he may be an option if things go awry, but I don't expect him to come straight from the reserves to play on one of the best CHFs.
- Meiklejohn is also tipped to return, joining LRT and Goodes in a 3 prong ruck attack. Hopefully, he'll provide enough of a contest to neutralise any advantage the Lions get.
- Schauble to get towelled by Lynch again. Hopefully he can be kept to under 4 goals.
- I wonder if Bradshaw will play in defence again this week? Maybe a matchup against Micky O?

Should be a great game - can't wait for it.

Good summation.

Coaches don't normally bother with a tag on Voss but maybe Kirk is a guy with the strength to challenge him.

I thought Saddington had the makings of a great player last year. I haven't given up on him but I just reckon he's not physically right to take on players like Carey, Brown, Rocca etc at CHB. He's the perfect loose forward IMO with his mobility, leap and good hands but maybe Roos hasn't got a lot of options. As I say, I really do believe he can play, but I'm secretly hoping he goes to Brown on Sunday.

Keating and Charman have been surprisingly good for Brisbane and the ruck battle will be interesting. Maybe Sydney need to take a risk and roll the dice at the clearances and hope to get Brisbane around the ground with Goodes and LRT. Either of those guys could be a problem for Keating and Charman if they run all day and do some damage in attack.

Brissie are very disciplined at getting it in quick to Lynch and leaving him plenty of space. Got me beat why fullbacks insist on letting him wrestle rather than playing a bit loose and trying to spoil. Sydney will have to try to flood to some extent to deny Lynch space.

Bradshaw will be in defence for sure & you'd think he'd get M O'L. Bradshaw's been good lately but it's a lot easier when you are playing behind a midfield that's well on top. If Sydney can get some ball at the clearances O'Loughlin is bound to be a real handful for Bradshaw.

To me, like so many games, the midfield is the key. Brisbane will win the taps, but if Sydney's on-ballers can get first hands on it somehow, then the Swans are an undeniable chance.

We'll be up for the game. Just hoping it's a decent weekend, and that the game won't be TOO bad :D

A couple of weeks ago I would have really fancied our chances, but the two sides' fortunes have really reversed since then. I still think we can beat any team on our day, but we need all 22 players firing. We don't have as many "stars" as other teams, so we rely on an even performance.

Saddo is definitely too light for a KP, especially as he's still out of sorts after injury. IMHO he is a great HB flanker/winger, needs the space and freedom. The key as always is in the middle. If the Swans runners get on top, it makes it a lot easier on our "small" defence. Also makes life a bit easier for Barry Hall and Micky O. At best we might break even in the ruck at centre bounces, but Goodes should out-run his opponent if he's given the freedom to go on the ball.

Realistically Brisbane should win by about 3 goals, but you never know....

it hurt bigtime, but like any true supporter i won't be writing my boys off, i dont' suggest you do it either when your boys struggle this week. Finals are like a new season, it is all about who can find form in the finals, hopefully it will be the boys from ol brisbane town.
