I have finally managed to calm down from last nights pathetic performance so its now time to look forward to the Kangaroos game. Hopefully club decides to give a bit more exposure to Jacob Schuback. There are some players due back for this game but who goes out??????

IN: Stevens, Ladhams, Stenglein, Hart
OUT: Carey (for a rest), Skipworth, Doughty, Burns/Schuback

Welshy should be given another week so he can completely get over his inflamed disc. Carey should be rested for a week for his knee to heal sufficiently. Burton should be OK as its only a jarred knee but Bicks might be in a bit of a trouble with index finger.

If the boys have any pride in their performance, they will spank Kangaroos.

Thoughts??????

Carey's knee is not right. Whats the point in playing him if he is going to put in the sort of game that he did last night. Obviously he needs to rest that knee so it heals sufficiently enough for him to play as well as he did prior to Collingwood game. No point in risking him at this stage of the season.

Our task will be made easier by the tribunal this week.

There'll be a couple of suspensions. Stevens and Sinclair will both surely go for a couple of nasty hits. Mind you, the way Stevens played last time his absense may not be a good thing, but Jess Sinclair will certainly be missed.

Anthony Stevens looked very out of sorts tonight. After whacking Holland in the face in the first quarter, he had a scuffle with Crawford in the second quarter after colliding with him post disposal. He was taken from the field after that. I almost got the impression Stevens wanted to be outed for next week's match!

Don't worry about the King. He was saving himself for this weekend! :D His knee will be fine. Bring back Mark Stevens this week to get him in the swing of things before the finals (he kicked 3.2 yesterday for the Eagles!!!). If Welshy is ok then bring him back too, we need to get them all back in together. I reckon we will bounce back pretty hard after last week. If we bring in Stinger, Ladhams, Stevens, Hart and out go Doughty, Schuback, Skipworth - the other out would probably be unlucky, but when the guns return............someone has to go.

Stiff, I believe you underestimate how we will deal with the opposition. North Melbourne is not the sort of side I ever expect an easy game out of
True. But of all Adelaide's remaining matches, this one is by far the 'softest'.

I think we have to use this game to ease Stevens and maybe Welsh back into things.

In, = Stevens (a must) Stenglein, Hart, Ladhams & if fit Welsh,

Out, = Doughty, Bode, Skipworth, Schuback & either of Burns or Begley,

No pussy footing around now we need our best available side on the park so we have to bring back Mark Stevens & Scot Welsh as soon as possible, only 2 more rounds before the finals so we need a settled side,

Only concern would be = do we play Stevens, Carey ,Perrie & Welsh up forward at once or do we go with just 3 & rotate with 1 on the bench ???

Like your idea Noddy of rotating Carey,Stevo and Welsh off the bench,I think the AFC need to bite the bullet and load up the forwardline and start preparing the lineup for the finals..............we are still waiting for the day we our full forward line at it's peak Carey,Welsh,Stevens,Burton,Burns and Johncock..............hope that day comes soon:D :D :D

Ins: Stevens,Welsh,Hart and Stenglin

Outs:Skipworth,Schuback,Begley and Doughty

Smash The Roo's!!!!!!!!!!

With Stevens set to return to the Crows side after a workman like perofmance for the Eagles yesterday (12 pos. 8 marks, 3.2 goals) and with Perrie and Carey functioning well up forward, where do we see Stevo playing for the rest of the year??????

If we go with Carey, Stevens, Perrie and Welsh all as forwards at the same time then we might be a bit top heavy.

Could Steveo be the X factor come finals time? Prior to this week our forward line has been functioning really well with the likes of Carey, Perrie, Welsh, Burns, Johncock, Ladhams and McLeod rotating through. In the past the big forward of the competition, the likes of Tredrea and Lynch have given us hard time. Could Stevo be the man to at least break even with these sort of players??????

Thoughts??????

You're not far off the money there mate - he seemed to be going out of his way to front the tribunal.

His behaviour as captain under certain circumstances this year has been a disgrace - hopefully the Kangas' gaggle of youngsters don't follow his lead in the coming years.

Don't flirt with the form, put your best available side on the park. If Carey plays the better the team will be coz a couple of NM players will be more interested and getting stuck into him plus the Roos are gone for the year so I expect their performance will not be as passionate as it could be.

Saw Stevo yesterday at Woodville, had a good first half (not sure what the bay defenders were doing) but quieter in the second. Took some good grabs and as usual contested the ball well. Got thru it though.

Get Stevens back in the Number 19.............mmmmmmmm well if Welsh is not ready yes we will have Ladhams in the side, just think Welsh is more important than Ladhams ATM to our forwardline structure................Stevo I think if we have our full choice of forwardline players should go down back IF NEED BE;) If the backline is functioning well leave him up forward;)

I think you have it pretty right noddy.

Stevens should play FF for the Kangas game to get him ready for the port game.

Welsh shouldn't play this week unless he is 100% as we'll need him against Port. Let's assume he doesn't play.

Stenglein, Hart and Ladhams must come back into the side.

Doughty, Skipworth and Schuback are all definite outs. Then it gets hard. I'd love to see Bode get another run but one of him or Burns will have to go. I can't see them dropping Begley after his game against the Pies.

Good to see that the problem is because we will be struggling to fit them all in for a change.

OUT: 2, 11, 12

EDIT: I'll get this right the first time off one of these weeks, thanks again fellas :)

I know it's a big call saying Shirley should go and it was a close shave between him and Burns, yeah maybe Burns should go before him but I had to choose between those two and I chose Shirley. I put 37 instead of 38, I would like to see Schuback at least go around one more time.

Would 5 changes unsettle the side too much??????
After that performance, I don't think we need to worry about unsettling the side!

But seriously, we had five first choice players out: Hart, Ladhams, Stenglein, Welsh and Stevens. Massie is possibly a sixth. So no.

I AM PRACTICING IT THIS WAY!

I just need to remember to preview the post.

I'll go back and edit it with explanations.

You said it Dave. On the contrary they looked very unsettled with those first choice players out.

Pick the best and expect the best.

As for Leigh, don't take up being a bingo caller for a living. I can hear it now:

2 little ducks - 39.

Lucky for some - 41

Beans in your coffe - 2

Legs - 19

Retiring age - 1

Life begins at - 7

Two fat ladies - 25
