Then any Melbourne supporter with half a brain knows how talented Jamar is, and that the only reason hes not living up to his potential is the way Danners coaches the team.
You fit the bill when it comes to Melbourne fans with half a brain that's for sure.

As for Daniher's coaching, well Jeff White is number 1 ruck so it's up to Jamar to show he can do something elsewhere! Jamar has talent, but where I disagree with you is that I think that he may not be living up to it for other reasons.

Tell me how Jamar is supposed to showcase his talent with 20 minutes a game?

He comes out of it with about 5 possesions and 15 hitouts and gets dropped for not doing enough, wheres the justice in that?

Yeah, I know he gets limited ground time, but can Jamar play forward? I don't think so.

And neither can Jeff White. So White rucks as he is after all the number 1 man for that job, and all Jamar is used for is when White comes off for a breather. Paul Johnson, given he has in my view anyway, seems to have more ability as a key position player and therefore gets the nod over Jamar for a spot in the side.

As for being dropped for not doing enough, he is probably most often dropped so he can get a run and keep the fitness up. If he plays 20 mins every week in the AFL he'd be like the side of a house after about six weeks.

Until Jamar can show ability in other roles, or until Jeff White can go forward and consistently mark and kick goals, Mark Jamar will only be a bits and pieces player. And sorry if that offends you but thats what I think. And apologies to vazie or whoever it is for wrecking his thread with this discussion.

Yeah good point at the end there, sorry Vazie.

I still stick to my opinion that Jamar is better than Johnson at the moment, you say he cant play forward and that might be true but hes never been given much of a chance at it at AFL level and he must be a better option up there than Johnson, who cant mark anything over his shoulder level.
