No.1 ticket holder

The Carlton Football Club is delighted to announce Dylan Alcott as its new No.1 ticket holder. The 2022 Australian of the Year will be officially bestowed the honour at the President’s Club function ahead of tonight’s blockbuster against Geelong.

Black arm bands – Dennis Munari

The Carlton players will wear black armbands in honour of the late Dennis Munari. Dennis was the 799th footballer to play for the Carlton Football Club since the VFL’s inception in 1897. He represented Carlton in 41 senior games from 1967-70 and was a member of Carlton’s Premiership team in 1968.

Cats midfield vs Pies were very ordinary, Blues mids will go to town - linking up with our tall timber.

Just hope there’s some grass left at the G… no more injuries!

(Touch everything wooden… madly)

Blues by 23.

If Carlton can move the ball quicker going forward leaving our tall timber on 1 on 1's , then blues will win.
If they try and control the ball slowly , then they will lose

There is no reason the Blues shouldnt win this game with geelong missing 6 defenders
Blues have a good midfield that should win enough supply to provide MacKay & Curnow with opportunity to kick 10 goals

Cats midfield is not fast apart from 1-2 players and blues mids should account for them
Hawkins & Cameron need to wear long sleeves as it looks like they could get cold

Boyoboy ... this game now takes on some extra spice ... with unsatisfying results round 1, there will be some extra commitment and pressure.

Surely the Cats, such a well organised team. Was it running out of juice, or running out of will? Shall find out soon enough.
