That's not exactly what he said though. He said he wanted to back his own system and not necessarily deploy a tag as you give up something to do so. He said Daicos was one of the best players in the game but if he was going to initiate a tag with Maginness, he would have sent him to Sidebottom. He said he didn't feel Daicos was as influential (he said he had an influence but not all that influential - i.e. not enough to deploy a dedicated tagger) and that Hawthorn managed to limit the usual damage he causes - adding we were a bit lucky that his kicking wasn't as damaging as it usually is.
