Ironically they didn't bring him on till the 2nd half and he bagged 2 goals and looked dangerous after 10 weeks off..he is the least of the crows problems

All of ours are really mobile too, although Tex is slowing down.

I don’t think three talls was the issue. The Hawks have 3, as did the Pies last week. Freo play 3 talls as well.

On our winning streak we would often lose clearances or inside 50s, but we’d use the ball really well and defend excellently, and utilised the quality up forward to compensate. It was a winning formula, but then we lost Rankine, and then we found that a lot of our inexperienced (and some experienced) players weren’t ready for the heat, and the ball use dropped away. Those two factors are what cost us.

I was actually on Kane’s side in saying three talls probably won’t work for us earlier in the year, but watching those two games live, I don’t feel that was the issue.

3 talls is never going to work in finals where they traditionally struggle to impact games.

Are they going to make the tough decision and retire Tex?

I’m not sure you’ve been paying attention. He had a great second half of the year, and had a vintage performance against the Pies, he just didn’t kick straight.

He may well drop off next year and we’ll need to be ready to make the tough call as Geelong did with Hawkins, but if he’s still got the passion and thinks his body has another year in it, I don’t see a reason to retire him early.

The Crows lost the QF by 10 goals to Melbourne. Under this system, they would have been knocked out in week 1. TBH, its line ball with the Dogs in 2016. Who defeated both GF teams from 2015, GWS away and the Swans in the GF. Hawthorn now get de facto home games for the rest of their series.

Pretty sure Geelong was the doing that chant in the 2007 Grand Final.

Nothing changed in Matthew Nicks press conference.

Mentioned that he would've like to have Rankine there. Tried every possible trick to have his suspension reduce to 3 weeks so he would be playing tonight.

Sam Mitchell on the other hand never complained about Will Day been out, and with due respect to Rankine, Day is a better player and a more integral part to our team.

He comes across as defeatist, going on about how good the oppo was. And does give excuses. I can't see them winning it all with him at the helm.
