Yeah not sure why that is. Must be their algorithm just favours McEvoy and/or doesn't rate Maxy because Gawn has had two solid seasons as the best ruckman in the league and that should be enough to have him top.

Might have a bit to do with Gawn missing half of 2017.

Howe gets in off the back of last season when he was definitely in the top 3 small/medium defenders in the comp.

He's been just as good in 2018, too.

Gets lots of points on their scoring system because of the positional flexibility he offers for a player of 200cm .

Clearly not in the leagues best 22.

I seriously do not get the sudden high ratings the guy is getting. A first 18 player at any club? Yes. A genuine, good strong target? Yes. Elite? No.

Glenn Luff was on 3AW tonight and said the current Champion Data player ratings are Oliver & Grundy = no.1, Gawn 3, Fyfe 4, and I think Dangerfield 5 and Martin 6.

Pretty crazy that a 20 year old 51 game player is equal no.1.

I think it's just because he often gets midfielder stats but is classified as a key forward.
