Doesn't matter the guy is a dud anyway.
Good chance we might be playing the Swans in the first week of the finals, and i'd rather he was playing for Sydney, massive advantage for the Pies if he is.

another mindless collingwood supporter, i've come across way too many in the past week...amon a dud...LOL alright then![]()

WHAT A JOKE!!!!
this decision by the tribunal is living proof that sydney is the AFL's love child
amon gets 3 (ignoring history) for a head high very late hit elbow out etc
down to 1... 1 week for that?!?!?!?!?!!?
up urs sydney, u still wont win shyte this year even with all the afls help.. and i dont care that my mob wont, as long as you little wh0res dont
Guys this is the AFL remember. How do you expect us to build the brand in Sydney with our key players watching on the sidelines. 1 week. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.![]()
On a completely unrelated note: I've seen my club win a flag in my lifetime AND I finished year 12.

I'm sorry, but this argument holds no water.
It's the action that needs to be assessed, not the resulting injury or extent there of.

4 weeks is fair imho
you cant just go around jumping at peoples heads
if he stayed on the ground if would have been a good hip and shoulder perhaps
That is pretty ignorant. If someone does something that is clearly illegal & intentional or reckless then they should be rubbed out otherwise it is encouraging dangerous conduct. Its like someone shooting at you & saying no harm done I missed.
.
I'm about to cop shi* from my own fans but I cant defend that, it was not reckless it was intentional as clear as day. It was not as bad as Johnsons but it was a 4 weeker with maybe 3 weeks for a good record but 1 for that is not right.
Clarke got up & played a key part in the last quarter. No matter what you or anyone else says, the hip & shoulder is still a part of the game. Amon was a little late & only got a week because of his clean record.
I repeat..........it was a hip & shoulder with the arm tucked in. The little push in the back on Clarke from O'Keefe is what actually propelled him into Amon that little bit harder. It was perfect, just a little late.
And you know what the best part about the whole incident is. The young fella got up & played the match out well, many AFL supporters love & respect him even more (me being the first one).
Buchanan is a tough little gem! I loved seeing that hip & shoulder replayed knowing that Clarke was able to continue. Quite obviously his head wasn't even touched or it would have been lights out with the speed Buchanan hit him.
One week is more then fair for mine. No weeks if he had a bad record.....................that's how Rocca got off!
There is a hip and shoulder and than there is a charge... and that was a target of the man not going the ball at the time. It also cost us a goal from a very undisciplined act with game still available to us so in my book that was very stupid as well.
I will take it mate but I cant defend 1 week, clean record or none.. I do think Rocca should have got time off as well though.

Fair hip and shoulder? If Rocca or Didak delivered one like Buchanan did on Saturday night, many on here would be calling for them to be sent to the chair... The hysteria on here would be matched only by the hysteria in the media and it would be season over for either of them and there would be much sage nodding of heads on here about how they got it right for once...

It was far from a fair bump, but Johnsons was much worse.
The rule is there to protect the head and spine from serious damage.
Bell is very lucky he doesn't have a broken neck.
I'm not talking about Johnson .. he got about what he deserved for an ugly clash ...
what i'm saying is that if Rocca or Didak had delivered the identical bump to what Buchanan did on Saturday night, every man and his dog would be calling for all sorts of action and saying how the head must be protected...

If Rocca did what Buchanon did he would get 3 weeks (same as bucky) then an extra 2 weeks for his previous bad record, an extra week because the pies will try and contest it, and another week from carry over points from his last punch thrown.
7 weeks, goodby pies.
It's something of a myth that Rocca has form..
Yes, was suspended in 2003 for an undisciplined hit on Lade (and paid an extremely high price, missing the GF) but I think his only suspension since then was earlier this year and that was for a bump (not a punch) which is clearly much, much closer to a ''fair hip and shoulder'' than what Buchanan's was.
Rocca received one match for his hit and took it to the tribunal and lost and ended up with two. Buchanan gets one match for a much worse hit and quite rightly will accept it.
some are more equal than others
he hit was high because Dempster slipped, it wasn't way off the ball, any AFL player worth his salt would have been shepherding in that situation. Rocca could have hit him far harder than he did.His hit on Dempster was high in the head area (although Dempster had slipped) and was way off the ball. But thanks for pointing out the hypocracy of the collingwood whinging.
