so if its Francou/Hart in and Pods/Teague out how do we set up?
Hart to Def presumably.
Is it Francou to forwards? Or does he go mids and campo forward?
Or is there another change on the cards?
Woke me up as wellYeah I door knocked everyone on here

My gut feel was, and I've posted this before, is that Erin Phillips was critical to the success of that group. Moreso than the appointed coach.
You can't hear me though and I like getting an answer to a question I've had to ask over and overProbably a bit like you at the moment. Just goes on and on and on and on

She's currently the director of player and franchise development at Dallas in the WNBA, so it sounds like that's an area she's really strong in.Yep [emoji106] and agree totally with the previous post. Have heard exactly the same thing. Am hearing they may chase youth when there are some awesome experienced players 29-30+ that will be overlooked, which I find infuriating as they are all on 1year contracts! Go for back to back I reckon. I really want to be wrong on that. Sophie Li is a gun.... Erin Phillips was the catalyst and we would have been sh*t if she didn’t pull Bec aside and ask what the hell was going on with the summer camp style training intensity. (Not Erin’s exact words, but same outcome), Erin needs to be a coach when she hangs up the boots. For personality style comparison. Erin is like Tex who can command the groups and Randall is like Rory who just leads by example, putting her body on the line.

Agree. If there were I reckon it'd be from withinPykey is huge fan of continuing so it would be difficult to see any further changes, definitely not forced changes by Pykey
That and amongst other thingsThat's why WW put you on ignore. There's no hiding from you when you've backed someone into a corner and there's only one question left to answer.

Hart is a good move in my opinion. He was one of the best small-mid defender for his time, and highly reliable in consistency. No doubt he'll be set as a defense coach. Hopefully teach our defenders a few attacking moves and be more flexible.
With our midfield showing one of the best improvements among the competition this year, can someone explain to me why we still hate Campo so much?
Nathan Van Berlo has departed for West Coast
What about ST?Nathan Van Berlo has departed for West Coast
West AdelaideSo what zone is Francou looking after ? ......surely the mids?More concerned with campo staying, but with francou there now should give us a harder edge
Fingers crossed. So what zone is Francou looking after ? ......surely the mids?
Just saw that. Good luck to him. His family will no doubt be pleased
No I think our midfield structure is better than that, and there’s a few things we do better than mostFingers crossed.
With the same people looking after the mids for so long the message must get stale and clearly we still have similar issues.
We need fresh ideas to remain relevant. Sometimes even a change in how the message is delivered is enough, but I think francou will bring much more than that.
I've always felt that our midfield set up never really seemed that sophisticated. Sure they all have places to stand, people to man up on and someone to tap to, but that's about it. We pretty much rely on individual efforts to clear.
I watch some of the other midfields and it's like they are at the breakdown in a rugby scrum. It's organised, there are set plays with people passing without looking knowing their players will be in particular spots, eventually clearing.

One thing I like about our midfield is that our players are typically on the move at all times. This makes it easier to get space from the first tackler
Similarly when picking up the ball we are often already pivoting to get hands free from the first tackler
Of course come grand final everyone stood around flat-footed, but grit is a different thing to coach
