Well he did have a big party a week ago for him at Subi oval.
Not organised or promoted by the club as far as I know, nor was it reported/acknowledged by them even though there were current players and board members there

There was some media coverage of it but don’t recall it being stated that he’d officially departed

They did post up a video of the event on YouTube. Listening to Rhino the invite list was pretty tight, wasn't even a lot of media there, maybe 10-12 of them who couldn't stake a claim in another capacity (ie ex players who have transitioned into media now).

Wouldn't be surprised if Niz gets some airtime at the Season launch as a thank you and official hand off.

It’s gone under the radar a bit, possibly because there’s been no recognition of it by the club publicly, but Nisbett is officially out the door having completed the 2 month handover to Pyke as CEO

Kinda strange the club hasn’t acknowledged it at all for whatever reason given his years of service

In any case it does mark a new era in the history of the club. Seven grand finals and 4 flags whilst Nisbett was there is one hell of an act to follow
I'd expect he'll be in our hall of fame pretty quickly. Hands down the most influential administrator in our history.

Has a claim on the AFL hall of fame at some point as well.

^^^^^^

Finally this has come up organically!

10 years is a long time when you add it all up - 4 hours a day (including lunchbreak), 3 days a week for 22 weeks of the year (including 6 weeks of annual leave) watching kids play footy is exhausting - real nose to the grindstone kind of stuff. I'm basically so tired I'm almost ready for retirement!

Target Steele Sidebottom as a mids coach.

Did he retire or are we just throwing random names out there?

Target Ted Whitten's ghost for selection committee!

Not every good player makes even a remotely decent coach or leader. It would be a no to Sidebottom from me. Sometimes those that make the very best coaches are not only those that are great at relating to people but also those in particular who have been hard pressed playing against better players.

Steele's game is so natural and always has been. He was a great player whose vision and skills got him a long way in the game. The only thing he's ever really lacked is explosive pace and to a much lesser extent endurance. It's why he was a tag target as he was more easy to shut down than other potential Collingwood mids.

Yes he was VC there for a while but not without incidents and with the way the game has changed I'm not sure he is the guy the club should be chasing. That and getting hime across from Victoria does seem unlikely. If he is to go into coaching there will be a lot of spots for him in Victoria.

I would still like the club to actively pursue a data analytics specialist consultant with a football background as well to help provide balance moving forward.

Mate over a decade in ICT, and I gotta admit this would a very niche skillset.

Data analytics that has a football background....lol I have worked with a few and I cannot imagine them in a footy environment. You're better off getting a Technical Analyst/Data Scientist and build their skill set/team over time. It will be a tough start I assume.

Also, a genuine question: would this even fall under some "soft" cap if you can generally outsource under their IT Department?

Anyone you would target in particular? I would love to get a Mundy/Boak or even Josh Kennedy (Sydney equation) working as a development coach.

Really happy with the decision. He is a very well respected person and has plenty of experience and is a very rounded signing. I would still like the club to actively pursue a data analytics specialist consultant with a football background as well to help provide balance moving forward.
Dylan82 is probably the ideal candidate for the data analytics role. I'm sure he could do it remotely from Brissy.

Eagles add fitness boss from Pies as off-field shake-up continues - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1059577

Can we give a massive shout out to the club heirachy for signing up these two blokes(Turk and Inness)?!

Arguably the most important off season pick ups we've made. I remember hearing one of these guys state we were months behind other clubs in fitness standards and it's taken them up until now to build the side to full match fitness on par with AFL level, massive amount of consistent, long term hard work from these two fellas. Massive difference in the squad fitness this year from last year 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Fitzpatrick has to stand down as chairman by February 2025 when he reaches his 9 year tenure limit as a director with either Elizabeth Gaines or Ben Wyatt the likely successor

Jan Cooper waiting WAFC ratification to become the newest director following the departures of Russell Gibbs and Trevor Nisbett

Current board is
Paul Fitzpatrick (Chair)
Elizabeth Gaines (Deputy Chair)
Justin Langer
Ben Wyatt
Terry Bowen
Nicole Moody
Rowan Jones

Nothing against Wyatt, but I think Gaines should get the job, tenure and she handles the press very well.
Comes across as confident and competent.

Happy enough for Wyatt to be deputy.

Also like the prospect of Cooper joining the Board.

Anyone have details about Jan - I havent heard of her or know anything about her accolades/CV.

From when she was inducted into the WA Football Hall of Fame last year:
