Who knows? Gourdis hasn't debuted, and Pfeiffer's played one NAB Cup game for Carlton, and as anyone who's not a Carlton supporter is aware, that's nothing on which to judge anyone.

Given Pfeiffer was delisted for what appeared to be disciplinary issues, and Gourdis is an athletic freak, it's hardly cut and dried.

Should be interesting. :)
WOW, great poll.

Gourdis has played 0 AFL games and 0 games of footy for Richmond, but he has only just turned 18 and is looking like a fantastic prospect, is the most athletic player drafted, tall, big and can run.

Pfeiffer is yet to play a home and away game, is already 20 years old, likes to shirk the contest, not a backman, not much of a midfielder.

GOURDIS ALL THE WAY!!!

Anyone with half a footy brain would know this.

:D :D :D

Be honest, you've never seen him play.

But remember the guy that chose Gourdis over Pfieffer, is the same guy that chose Tambling over Franklin. See the point? Anyway, at this stage Pfieffer is looking very very promising. :)
If he had the amount of talent you seem convinced he has, I doubt Adelaide would have discarded him as they did.

You're full of it. :)

Pfeiffer is a better talent than a poor man's Jake Edwards who wasn't even good enough to be drafted in a November draft. ;)

How can somebody be a poor mans Jake Edwards when nobody knows who the hell Jake Edwards is!

Before the draft Gourdis was predicted by many to go Top 20 and some even predicted Top 10, only reason he was not picked up was because clubs went smaller this draft rather than go for the talls like the previous one.

Who chose Gourdis over Pfieffer?

From what I know as fact it was Terry Wallace/Francis Jackson.

Not your man Greg Miller.

Off field issues (Drinking) prevented him from getting a game.
So basically they kept him there for one year too much.

He was on the list for 2 years, no?

Silly poll. way too early to pick at this stage, FWIW Pfeiffer has a good chance to be a good solid AFL player, He is not one to shirk a contest but allegedly has discipline issues.

Gourdis, I have never seen play so it's hard to comment - his raw draft camp results sound exceptional, but the fact that no one picked him up in the Main Draft suggests there is something lacking in his game ... Skills? Attitude?

Ask me again in 3 years.

why would anyone take pfieffer ?? or however you spell it ... gourdis a supreme athlete .. he is quick, agile, strong, his upside is alot higher than pfieffer .. gourdis can be become an elite CHF in the next few seasons ... the pfeiffer couldnt make it adelaide and he wont make it a carlton .. he's a b grade vfl player at best ... another win for the tigers there :thumbsu:

Usually involves a paying out of contract. Crows did it with Alan Obst, but its very rare.
If such culture problems exist in a player then money won't be of any question.
