What an amazing win!

Cameron turned everything into gold. He’s my favourite player to watch this year. Great for him to have this moment.

Atkins was so tough at it all day. Crucial role in the stoppage rotation.

I feel like Homes had a clean set of heals all day. Except for that one moment haha. But really impressed by him.

Great to see Zac have such an awesome game.

I’m in awe of the cats. Especially their defensive mechanisms.

My friend and I recorded this podcast this evening dedicated to your win. Hope you enjoy and if you do, share it with cats supporting friends!

To say O'Connor was terrible is quite absurd. He fumbled a couple early on but looked composed after that. Tuhoy, Stanley, Blicavs, Dangerfield, Henry, Hawkins had shockers but they are all untouchable. Miers had a shocker but I think we have to hope he doesn't do it two weeks in a row.
Or we could just play parfitt and menegola and drop two of them.

we are going to need more midfielders against the dees.

Just come in, they stifled us, couldn't take a trick. Until the very last minutes.
They were great at just banging it out to where they knew they'd have a sweeper, (a la Richmond) and the ball bounces favoured them.
Was probably semi conscious from lack of breathing and knowing when the final siren would go- the third quarter went for something like 34 minutes. (reviews?) Bloody Rohan, who we love, for sentimental reasons had a fortune riding on him to kick the first goal, guess he made up for the miss.

Absolutely shattered and brain dead from that games frustrations, and being sent on a wild goose chase by staff to the accessible bay that saw us exhausted from being blocked pushing/walking before the start. After the game, the sad Magpie people in the wheelchair area came over to wish us and the Cats luck. On four separate occasions, it was Collingwood fans leaving the game that came to our assistance when they saw we were struggling.
Good luck to them, but glad they were tempting the odds to win another close one!

That’s sensational they helped you considering the result
Respect to the good ones

Someone get Blicavs long stops he slipped over so many times tonight, 3 times were at crucial moments.

Came here to post this I think a few of our guys did actually.

I disagree with the idea that we played shit. I think we did in the first quarter. I think thereafter we actually played well but the higher intensity impacted some of our skills. I thought our decision making was actually really good but getting the ball to where we decided to send it proved an issue.

Our effort levels were huge and so were Collingwood’s

You may or may not believe this, but I actually thought before the game that Gary Rohan was going to have a big game today. Probably was our best forward today.

Had the confidence, really there is no more dangerous team than the Cinderella pies in front of a packed G in September.

We took all their blows, wore them and won, so much room for improvement but for the next week the pressure is off.

Gary Rohan, Zuthrie, Close, Stengle, SDK & Jezza take a bow with special shoutouts to Skip, Atkins and Holmes, liked Smithy too.

Will be a great Father’s Day tomorrow!

Love this team!
Hear, hear. Such a pressurised game, the Pies never let up, and it was a arm-wrestle to the death. Thankful to get over the line, Holmes and his running was immense, and the younger faster guys were the ones to break through for goals in the last quarter. And of course Gary Rohan, much maligned but certainly as Scotty said, and JC reiterated in an interview after the game, he does what Geelong needs, and today he was massive with three decisive goals and great kicking, especially after the 1st miss which sometimes has told the story of how a Geelong final's loss may play out. Zac Guthrie too, just a fantastic effort by some of our unsung heroes.

And indeed the Pies fans on this board, magnanimous in defeat and very fair and gracious. Maybe unlike sides like the Tigers and Hawks, the Cats and Pies have had plenty of finals disappointments over the years, and indeed do know what that tastes like.

Fly sooking about the umps .
No reward for tackles .
Same/same for both teams.

Swings and roundabouts. They maybe didn't get frees for holding the ball, but they also got away with a hell of a lot of holding off the ball as well.

I’m not sure how I feel after that game. I thought we were a 6 Goal better team before the game. I’m less confident that we are premiership favourites

You’d have to go with cegs after that. Stanley killed our run so many times I stopped counting. Dropped so many easy marks and they just sling shoot straight from them. So disappointing because I was hoping he’d carry his form into tonight
No you don't. He didn't have a great game but he's not being kicked out for Ceglar

Miers put the effort in as far as I could see. Ball didn't bounce to him and he didn't get used a couple times after a gut run. No worries.
Yeah Miers looked quiet but spent plenty of time on Nick Daicos who wasn’t overly influential.
