Yep and as Biktz said, he wasn’t tackled, so why holding the ball?
Are we talking about that last HTB at the centre bounce? Surely we’re not that one-eyed to argue it wasn’t HTB? Absolutely blatant HTB 10/10 times.

He played a really good quarter. I think you can expect / rely on your captain doing that in big games. Imagine if you couldn't rely on that?We can't base our season's fortunes on Dangerfield doing that week in week out.
No doubt JHF is a mini Danger, but not sure he’s intimidating many players just yet.Voss Mathews Dipper today JHF.
Joel Selwood?

Geelong has played in front of a combined 238,918 people over the last 3 weeks. That was about 30,000 less people than we played in front of for the entire 2022 finals series.
Amazing experience for our many sub 50 gamers. Talk about an apprenticeship!
Agree that Joel is THE club legend, but even he couldn't do the things Patrick did last night. In 50 years of watching the Cats, that game by Danger was as close as the way Gary Ablett (Snr ofc) at his best used to dominate games and make everyone around him look like schoolboys in comparison. If you never saw Ablett play in person (and youtube highlights are nothing like it), well, now you know what it was like. And Danger is an all round nice guy, not the very flawed individual that Snr was.
I am hoping COS will fill the void in excitement when PFD has to retire. That kid looks like he might be able to!
It was definitely HTB. He made no attempt to dispose of the ball. That should be HTB every single time. I was impressed that the umpire had the stones to call it in such a big moment.
A better leader but sorry as a footballer, Danger is a fair way ahead I reckon.
Mathew’s fair? Bit of a stretch.Voss Mathews Dipper today JHF.
Someone suggested it for last night too. Sorry I can't remember who.I remember a fair few people last year calling for him to spend time in the midfield in the 2s for a bit of development. Not a bad idea
Yes I would argue - I’ll take another look but I don’t recall seeing the tackle part (below the shoulders and above the knees) that goes with a holding the ball freeAre we talking about that last HTB at the centre bounce? Surely we’re not that one-eyed to argue it wasn’t HTB? Absolutely blatant HTB 10/10 times.
ExactlyCrossley Essendon will pick up crossley most likely, but he wasn't overlooked in the ssp for no reason.
My recollection may be flawed but Joel was very consistent.I think Danger's finishing his career more strongly and had a longer peak, but I think we forget just how good peak Joel was too.
Saying nothingSomeone suggested it for last night too. Sorry I can't remember who.
Correct.Extremely lucky I think.
Love to get him in the hoopsNo doubt JHF is a mini Danger, but not sure he’s intimidating many players just yet.
Love to get him in the hoops
Oh it definitely felt like 40.Yep, just like last night when he said the Cats are 20 points down but it feels like 40.
Just because you want it to be 40 doesn’t mean it is, Kingy.
Gee if that’s softer, then he must have really detested us previously.Lyon has softened on us massively now he's engaged to a Geelong supporter and her family. He hated us for years before that, I think it was from Snr belting him.
Both abletts clearly.Name better Geelong players than Dangerfield in your lifetime?
It will be a very short list and only contain Abletts unless you are very old.
