If he didn’t have tunnel vision he would be - the amount of time he just boots it forward while having loose teammates next to him.
I really don't think this is anywhere near as common as it was with him a year or two ago. He tends to do it now much more intentionally when we are struggling to break free from clearances and it switches things up.

Xerri Vs Gawn will be a spectacle to see.

Melksham's been scoring them for fun the past fornight. Needs the Pink treatment.
Keeping Kozzy quiet will be key for us to win.

Who matches up against Oliver? He had a pretty good battle with Dawson against Adelaide.

Hopefully May has an off day

our match and results of a couple of others this week could change how we and outsiders view the Whitlock future 1st trade.
Given the poor draft quality this year has been well documented, I think there is enough information at hand already to suggest it wasn't a bad trade. The only missing part of the puzzle isn't so much what happens on the field this season or exactly where we finish compared to Richmond, but rather how good will Whitlock prove to be as a player. If he ends up being a 150-200 game player, it was a good trade regardless.

He didn't have a great VFL game, but is Goater a chance this week? Could really use him down back given Archer and LMac are out
I don't mean to be rude but if you think Goater is a chance to play AFL this week off the back of being injured for 18 months and playing a half in the VFL last week it might be time to give yourself a rest from BigFooty for a couple of weeks to get your head back in the game.

I didn't say he was a chance. I asked if he was a chance.
He didn't do a lot in the VFL with limited game time, but if he pulled up ok, and match committee reckon he'd get through a game in the seniors, I'd be ok to play him. We look a better team with him out there.

He's at best a month away I'd say. If he was to play at all this season it would be a huge outcome

Parks in? Wardlaw?
We can probably expect Parker to be his reliable self.

But if Wardlaw does return, it will be hard to be confident that he'll come back to the squad ready to assume the role as our best clearance getter after X. He'll need to reverse more than a month of subpar form to be the difference maker in LDU's absence, and Wardlaw's only reached a dozen disposals once in his past five games.

In our favour: MCG is a fairly neutral venue, looks like Lever could be out.

But who stops Kozzie? He's in fine form and we don't have any great matchups for him. (He was a key omission in round 2)

Look also at the past couple months form of either team. Melbourne's had no blow out defeats, while we've had three of them against Hawks, the Dogs and the Pies.

I'd love to see us come out on top, it'd be amazing to get out of the bottom 4, but we'd be doing it as very capricious underdogs.

[edit: just read the article above, confirming GW is an out]

What will our forward line look like with no Larkey and Darling? Bring CCJ alongside Maley or switch Comben / Dawson fwd?

So in other words there isn't enough information at hand. We'll need at least three wins to get out of the bottom four imo.

My point is our position doesn't matter so much, given the shit draft coming up. As long as Whitlock makes it, it is a good trade, whether we finish 14th or 16th
