Effectively, LDU is the only loss really - albeit, a big one. All the other players are easily replaced. In fact, if Wardlaw and TT come in, broadly speaking, we’ll be, arguably, stronger. LDU’s lack of continuity has completely ruined his overall positive impact.

We, probably, need to bring in Wardlaw and TT to try and attract people to turn up to Marvel. We could go for broke on that score and release Junior Boomer. I’d go to see that. Most likely, the same result, regardless.

Absolutely - if they picked Thomas and/or Wardlaw right now, that would be very short-term thinking and completely against the “we are on a long journey” mantra Clarkson has run from the start.

We are going to see players who haven’t demanded a spot and aren’t likely to be longer-term players with the club getting games this week and in the weeks ahead. Not because Clarko is having a look at everyone, but because we have to pick 23 players and options are limited. Like playing Logue forward, sometimes needs must.

24 touches from Cunners is great, but i reckon his presence in the VFL will help the young kids like Wardlaw etc to develop. Even Howe got 9 marks and Wardlaw kicked a few goals with 15 disposals and 5 tackles.

I agree with your point....we're just struggling for capable players....watching Powell last Thursday, he failed the fitness test miserably...he may not be available...
