We did not end up way down the draft order and stuck with some dud like you have tried to make it out to be..

We had pick 10, we traded it into Brad Crouch who was valued as a top 3 pick..

Quite simple, our pick 14 that could have been pick 7=Smith..
Our pick 10 that could have been pick 5=Brad Crouch..

It has hurt us in the smallest way, if it has even hurt us at all..
Our biggest problem is in no way what you said:

If anything you could argue our second an third rounders might be better but considering Kerridge and Grigg look to be turning out alright and of course Lyons. Realistically I don't think we are that brefet of talent from this period. Think DABM pointed out something very interesting with the one final since 09 and yet we are fielding our most inexperienced side in ages, with really only two players out with injury that would change that number (Thompson and VB)

Nothing......... I told AFIGJAM that this is actually the least experienced side we are fielding this year - lower than Brisbane's average experience and some how we arrive here. I think we'd have one more 50+ gamer in the side....

And as you said 50 games isn't thy big of a deal not much between 1400 and 1450.

No not that much of a difference now, but one more high draft pick who next year would be pushing close to 100 games and cemented position. Next year we still will have a large number of sub 50 gamers that we are still sifting through.

Remember the original complaint was selection was causing us to be a young side. This is like 12 to 15 games max, spread over 2 or 3 players.

I said aside from Tippettgate (which we will have to wait 2 years to find out how hard we got bitten) the compromised draft IMO hurt us more....... And in no way was I saying we did badly with recruiting, we pulled of some great manouvres and look to have mitigated some of the pain.
