Well it hasn't been a luxury having 3 Rucks ready to play we have had for a while.
I think the Sub rule being abolished changed alot of teams playing 2 rucks. We had ideally a while ago Sandi, Tabs, Pav, 1 of Clarke or Griff and generally the worst performing forward or most tired player got subbed off for a speedier more lively spark.
Game has shifted to mobility again, 1 ruck and a few back up pinch hitters is all that's needed. An extra inside mid is more valuable than a 2nd string break even Ruckman IMO.
I'm not sure about that, most teams played 2 (Geelong had 3) rucks over the weekend and the ones that didn't all had capable big men that could give their ruckman a rest, we have no one!
Reality is I'm sure Sandilands can handle 1 game of footy by himself!
