Schache just isn't ready. Golly, if you didn't like Dale's attack on the footy, you're not going to be well pleased with this guy. I'd leave him in the 2's for a sustained period - to give him a thorough grounding in defensive aspects of the game and how to stay involved in the game, and to give him time to develop durability and a real physical presence. Otherwise I can see him becoming another BF whipping boy.

Try crozier up forward, does have some x-factor, JJ down back.

Out: Dale.
In: ????

Who comes out of the back line for morris? I didn't think our backs were horrible last night. It was our club's historic shambles of a forward line that cost us.

Crozier is probably the antithesis of X-factor and he definitely should come out to make room for Morris and Adams

This week's edition of "Why are they still here in this team? ahh **** we've got noone else" definitely includes Crozier, Dale, Roughead.

Mos Def. The axe needs to swing at the end of the year if we're gonna be any good in the next 2-5 years

Out: Crozier
In: Morris

Flip a coin for ruck circus

FB: Morris - Trengove - Wood
HB: Williams - Cordy - Johannisen
C: Hunter - Bontempelli - Suckling
HF: Lipinski - Gowers - Daniel
FF: Dahlhaus - Boyd - Dunkley
R: Roughead/Campbell/English - Macrae - McLean
I: Wallis - Richards - Dale - Webb

Anyone saying Schache is not yet ready.l would suggest watching Friday nights replay.
1 goal from a lucky free and 1 flukey goal.
Schache kicks goals regularly , l too would prefer Rioli like defensive pressure. But number 50 at North also doesn't bring that.So for the rest of the year play the 3 together and let them gell.English Boyd Schache = future.

Lucky free kick .. how many did Adelaide get in the same way that they kicked goals from? The one Crozier gave away (which they missed) was a farce. Picking the ball up and a crows flog falls over him.. lol

In: Schache, Morris
Out: Roughead, Dale.

Trengove and Boyd sharing ruck - Morris helping out when Trengove rucking and Schache providing a focus up forward when Boyd is rucking. Crozier can also float up forward at times if needed instead of Dale.

Yeah, maybe only for 1 more game. I want Adams in but would be skeptical about bringing two underdone defenders in.
Fair enough. Just wanted to see whether you'd overlooked him.
Most are assuming he's an automatic selection against Collingwood.

IN: Morris, Schache
OUT: Webb, Richards (rest)

FB: Morris, Trengove, Wood
HB: Crozier, Cordy, Williams
C: Hunter, Maclean, Suckling
HF: JJ, Schache, Daniel
FF: Gowers, Boyd, Lipinski
R: Roughead, Macrae, Bont
INT: Dale, Dunkley, Dahl, Wallis

The backline looks tall, but:
Trengove to Cox
Cordy to Mayne
Morris to WHE
Wood to De Goey

If Bont isn't right to play mainly midfield, then Roughead goes out and Richards stays in. Trengove provides back up for Toyd in the ruck, with Bont and Schache forward.

I'd feel more comfortable with Morris on De Goey and Wood covering WHE. Then again, it's a moot point as they'll both guard space and rotate opponents anyway.

Schache is becoming a real enigma for me.

What is the story I’m missing that he can play nearly 30 games of senior AFL football in his first two years but become a project player that will take so long to be ready playing for us?

Surely it can’t all just be explained by being from Brisbane?

I’m not in a position to watch VFL game so maybe his form is not good enough but if he is genuinely part of the future forward line How much is there really to lose by playing him now? Is he genuinely that far off it that we’d rather play inadequate other options?

I think it would be more of a case of Josh feeling like he is ready. His psyche needs to be right. So much more scrutiny at the higher level. His desire has already been questioned, if and when he gets some media spotlight for not chasing or missing tackles he needs to be in the right frame of mind to deal with it.

Just sure one of Webb, Honeychurch or Jong is named with him. Problem solved.
