COVID ripped through Melbourne in winter 2020 and winter 2021.

It's going to rip through Melbourne in winter 2022 as well, especially with the vastly more transmissible variant circulating now.

And yeah, the AFL is going to stop the comp to help North lololol.

There's not going to be any lockdowns on the east coast at least, can't speak for the west.

This is living with COVID. And yes, you're right in saying a team probably will have its finals disrupted by COVID.

Cannot see the point of playing this game. Getting within 20 goals would be a win for us. I cannot even see what interest it would be to North supporters, even when they enjoy slaughtering us because it would not be a real contest. Like u12’s playing the A grade team. It makes a complete mockery of the integrity of the competition (or more so than normal). Time for the AFL to make some rules on the run which it is so good at.
