Just wait, we'll find ourselves at the bottom of the ladder at the end of the year licking our lips for a nice draft pick and the AFL will come in with the announcement because of clubs impact by COVID in different magnitudes we don't believe ladder position to be a reflection on draft needs and are therefore having a draft lottery this year.

Gold Coast, GWS, Sydney, Collingwood, Carlton, Melbourne first draft picks. Fremantle, Adelaide, Port, West Coast picks 15 - 18.

People don't WANT their team's games to be postponed from COVID. People are sick and tired of it and would prefer to cop something like this knowing all other teams will almost certainly be in this boat too soon.

12 from last week unavailable (so far) Simmo said. So the 5 outs plus Waterman, Rotham, Petch and Dixon are names I heard on radio. 3 more names to add to that unavailable list based on Simmos comment and then fill with top ups.

I think that playing as long as testing negative will be the norm this season.
Playing against a team with numerous cases will be fine as long as those available are negative and not deemed a close contact(?).
In the NBA a match is only postponed if a team has less than 8 players available.

I think in that scenario the club just wouldn't play as it would be a health and safety issue for the remaining players and we'd just await the AFLs punishment and lock them up in court for a while.

Which makes me think just treat it like the flu. If you're too sick to play, don't play but dump the close contact requirements. But now we're going to be stuck with these rules all season.

EPL has been delaying games when the Covid-19 outbreaks get out of hand for clubs. We should too.

Think 2 premiership points should be awarded to a team that can’t fill an AFL squad for a game. Win they get the extra 2 points , lose then it just stays at 2. Treat it like a draw. Not sure about the opposition but it’s just free premiership points for them in the current state. Other wise scrap the game as I can see more players out before Sunday.

If a betting market is suspended after I put a bet on (I put $50 on norf $1.85 as soon as I saw the Barich tweet) does the bet still count or is it cancelled?

Bet should stand even if the market is later suspended. Markets get suspended all the time for all sorts of reasons, usually only for a few minutes or an hour.

You’ll be fine, that is of course until the WAFL all stars beat North and your money, like the AFL’s on Arden Street, goes up in flames.

With the way things are, I would think that flying over as many of the top ups as possible sounds like common sense to ensure we have enough players to fill a team.
