But what is the minimum number we can still field without being the match not be postponed?
I can't find a number anywhere. What's stopping the AFL from forcing a team to play with no interchange players?
With the AFLW the minimum was still 21 players as usual.

But get any more injuries or cases then the Derby would off 1 would think.

Derby being another Sunday game allows quite the cohort to return (at least 12 players) but the flip side will be how many more go down in the next week.

I know this situation is new and rules are probably been made up as we go along.
I think one way to even out the disadvantage a little for a team using off list players would be that that club has first dibs on those players should they turn out to be diamonds in the rough.
It would really be rubbing salt in the wound if an off list player showed they were up to AFL standard and then for them to be recruited by another club the following season.

I coach community soccer in Melbourne. Football Victoria had all these rules about signing in, Covid coordinators, reporting cases etc.
