With finals locked in, and top 4, we'd be better off hitting week 1 of finals with them fit, finishing 4th, than finishing 2nd with an absolutely beat up bunch of players.

It's not about being negative about Dante. I think just about everyone on the board would be very happy with how Dante is tracking. He's just not ready to be a 1st ruck at AFL level. No 20yo 4th round picks are.

We can only pick from who is fit and firing. Teakle's not fully fit and he ain't firing yet. Hayes is injured. So either we risk Dixon and Finlayson for a whole game in the ruck or back Visentini to compete. Apparently his form on returning to the SANFL has been good so we don't have much choice but to give him a shot.

Honestly this should be game 6-7 for the season and he'd be far better prepared than he is now at a crucial time. Instead we wasted games on Teakle. If you're going to pick a non-competitive ruck, then you pick Dante before Brynn everyday
