Collingwood are beatable next week, they haven’t been scoring heavily (averaging around 50ish points a game) and always keep even the sh*t teams in the game for a long time due to that. Sydney a prime example today, Freo last week. If we can keep up the pressure for longer and convert more of our chances, big if I know, then we can definitely scrape a win.

Stengle easy replacement for Murphy now, maybe Poholke for Jones?

Smith for Kelly, McPherson for Hamill and McAdam for Crocker seem like the obvious other changes. I wouldn’t be going more than 5 changes after 9 this week, need to settle the team somewhat.

Why settle, we played our best 3/4 of footy after 9 changes. Continuity is an excuse for being weak at selection. In any case, there'll be 4 or 5 and Harto will likely return after being listed as managed.

Yeah but their forward line actually matches up very well against us ... lots of mismatches in isolation .

Just saw the suspension for Murphy on Fox Footy. Murphy ran through Viney with his shoulder raised and got Viney high. Wasn't going for the ball. Not surprised he copped 1 week

I realise he's the new whipping boy around here but apart from a couple of brain farts he was one of the best if not best last night across the 4 quarters.

Agree. Last night he had more contested possessions which I liked the most. Previous weeks his uncontested were to high indicating he had been stat chasing.

There are people who'd know better than me, but as far as I know, he's always been a mid.

I suspect it's a mixture of coaching and playing in a pitifully bad side issues, mostly. He looks very overwhelmed, down on confidence and lost. Hopefully if Godden goes (And there really isn't any reason to retain him with how pitiful our midfield has been), it ends up cleaning up a lot of his issues.

Swans, who played with a heap of kids, got a woeful deal from the umps, soft frees all night to the Pies, dodgy crawl paced injury cart to disrupt Swans momentum and Pies just got there. Definitely beatable but the umps will save them like tonight.

Crocker to never play another game for us, waste of space, play kids please not rejects from other clubs.
