Good points. The other consideration is the longer quarters, and our team tiring in the second halves - esp the last two weeks. If you look at the teams who apply manic pressure, it's often the case they can't maintain it over the full four quarters, and it seems to me our early success was based on this. the team structure was for more smalls, especially up forward. As the saying goes, players don't get shorter, so it's left us exposed - primarily with Sloane and Berry both out of the team - as that's allowed opposition midfields to get on top later in the games. So we desperately need Berry back this week, along with a tall down back (possibly two - Worrell and McAsey, depending on how GWS structure up).I wonder how we'll have viewed the Hawks' talls getting hold of us last week?
Would we look at it and say our line up is too small against certain teams? Bring in another tall this week.
Or would we look at it and say we needed better team defence, third man coming over the top to help out, not leaving our defenders exposed one out?
