Nah he does way more than one good thing. He does about 15 good things and 10 bad things every match. The reason many of us are still so optimistic on Johnno is that his errors can easily be corrected.HAHAHA! Complete opposite, he does one good thing and this board gets a hard on. Then they ignore his weekly holding the ball, lack of vision, poor decision making and skills because they still believe "he could be anything"
10 clangers a game is a lot. I can't believe after 3 years of development at afl level he is still making that many errors. If they are easily fixed, why haven't they been. He has had plently of time and opportunity. His lack of urgency at times worries me the most though. His lack of defense and accountability for his man at the stoppage when in our back fifty is disturbing at times.Nah he does way more than one good thing. Imagine if a coach actually said to him he wasnt allowed to break tackles and he had to give first option every time! That clanger count would go down from 10 to 2 overnight.
The real question is why hasnt he been given clear simple instructions to dispose the ball immediately?
It’s 3.5 btw. Same as Serong, JOM, Clark. Less than Bolton who goes at 4.210 clangers a game is a lot. I can't believe after 3 years of development at afl level he is still making that many errors. Don't think it's really a stat we can rely on tbh. It’s 3.5 btw. Same as Serong, JOM, Clark. Less than Bolton who goes at 4.2
Yeah. He has improved in that area. He tends to get less of the ball than the others though so percentage may be more relevant. His defensive work is dropping off though. He may be starting to tire. Raz is fading as well. It’s 3.5 btw. Same as Serong, JOM, Clark. Less than Bolton who goes at 4.2
Would you not give Pav a call and get him down to the club purely to work on Amiss’ goalkicking?
To go from Neveramiss to what is happening now is a bit extreme though. If it was that easy nobody in the AFL would ever miss

that's why is out of the best 22Dockers write up for Peel which are never negative fired a shot at sharp:
Jeremy Sharp: Collected a team-high 29 disposals along with six marks and five tackles in his first-ever appearance for the Thunder since joining Fremantle. Provided valuable run but at times lacked connection with the forwards in his delivery.
HTB’s can cost you a game in the D50 , in the midfield they aren’t a huge deal because as far as turnovers go they are usually very slow once you do your best drunken getting to your feet impressionHe makes the same mistakes, and it speaks to his awareness of his surroundings. A midfielder that gets caught HTB on a consistent basis will not have a long career in the AFL.
Walker manning up Elliott, that's hilarious.Dudley only comes out for Switkowski.
Sharp for Erasmus
Walker for Banfield.
Watson this week then Elliott the week after. Walker has to play.
Most knowledgeable goal-kicking analysts think he goes too close to the man on the mark and lacks momentum in his run- up. The issue with that is he was kicking accurately using that method in his junior years so would be reluctant to change. Maybe trying a different system in the off season to see if it helps may be in order now as his kicking has been off for two or three seasons now. I've no doubt there is a mental component involved , especially with the pressure of expectation, but that probably started when he started missing regularly as much as anything.Yes but it's not a matter of getting someone to explain the mechanics of kicking a ball. It's a mental thing.
at times lacked

He has always done that.He wasn't doing this in his first season though, it's lack of confidence that's caused him to start doing it.

Then everyone would be out. He's out because he lacks the ability to play inside and we are desperate for help in stoppages.that's why is out of the best 22

Chapman as well.Walker gives Johnson a run for his money with HTB's
There is no such thing as prior opportunity anymore which doesn't help.Walker gives Johnson a run for his money with HTB's
Never seen anything like it in the 30 years I've watched football. As soon as a player has the ball and been tackled it's getting called htb. Basically touch football at this point. There is no such thing as prior opportunity anymore which doesn't help.

All I’m hearing is you want Will Brodie to return.Midfield is shallow without Young, no doubt. We need to either magically recruit a B grade 28 year old mature body in the next year or two or hope at least two of Johnson, Noddy and Ras make the step up. We also just aren't structuring up right because even without Young - Jackson, Darcy, Bolton, Serong and Brayshaw should be halving midfield battles at worse but it seems teams are 75% of the way to a win just by shutting out the two amigos.
Ive made it known I've always doubted playing all 5 KPPs from the centre forward is going to work. Strike 1 against a good team, let's see how it goes against Hawks (if they stick with it). This is made worse but having only one actual small running defender. I dont think any of them are doing anything wrong but while we stopped the silly idea of also playing 3 tall KPDs, we need Cooper back badly because 4 mediums in Ryan, Banfield, Worner and Chappy is also one too tall I think.
I hope the silly ideas from earlier in the season about Switta being over rated are finally in the bin. With Dudley where he's at, that forward pressure is dire.
It all comes back to the middle though, teams have figured us out in there compare to the season where we dominated clearance.
