Although he won’t get dropped, Vander is a liability most of the time. He needs a rest, and I agree with Dolan who will be a good player but was totally out of his depth today, and Coffield who is too slow for afl football.

We need a big key back to play on the monster forwards and Liam needs one last hurrah if he fit to help out lobb and O’Donnell

What did Garcia do wrong? No turnovers, no clangers, 5 tackles, 4 centre clearances (2nd most behind Bont).

Thought Garcia made an impact in second half when he went through midfield. He won’t be dropped

For all those saying drop Vandermeer, who do we bring in for him? An injured Weightman? Assuming Harmes comes in for Dolan we really don’t have anyone to overtake Vandermeer at this stage. I prefer him over McNeil as well.

Our defensive structure appears to be stubborness at this point. The coaching staff have Liam Jones, Buku, Sellwood & Busslinger to work with. It’s up to them to come up with a plan and winning formula.

It may or may not work but they certainly have options to try. They’ve trotted out the same for the past 8 weeks with the same results.

Jones isn’t fit the vfl not playing won’t help that Buku is always exposed as a defender 3rd tall forward is his only role Sellwood is a chance but yet to play so an unknown Buss isn’t very good defensively the more you watch him play in the 2s the more you see why he doesn’t play

Even though the VFL had a bye, I would still love a Sellwood debut. Has that extra bit of physicality and desperation that our backline is missing at the moment. Has had a few good VFL games and I think they have a big session / scratch match this weekend during the bye so could theoretically still put his hand up for selection with a good run.

The young guys have been good this year but we looked a bit smaller and weaker than the Crows yesterday, a lot of broken tackles and lack of physicality through general play. Harmes back and potentially Selwood in, will help this a little, imagine Hynes goes out and maybe Dolan shifts to sub or out for McNeil.

Anthony Scott has been good of late in the VFL, I don't really see a spot for him though as he's playing mainly mid, especially with Garcia already in the team but I wonder if he is rewarded with a run in the 1s. Buku a chance to come in, but I just don't think he ground game or forward pressure is good enough when he is the third tall.

I only watched it on KYO and it indicates Vanders does need a break .WE all have too remember Garcia missed a lot of the pre- season because of a knee injure Dolan yes he does need a break ,what we need is tall FB like Jones and possibly Sellwood

I’m a massive fan of Josh Dolan but not on a wing. Think Harmes for him is an easy change given they were playing similar roles.

Agree with Moj on the Sellwood, Harmes in and Coffield, Dolan out.

Worth persisting with Garcia and Poulter can fill the sub role fine.
