I feel like Carlton played horribly last week and only lost by 4 goals to Hawthorn. If it's wet and windy it probably supports their game style because they seem to miss a lot of targets when kicking forward, but if it is hard to take intercept marks it gives them a chance to follow up on the ground rather than the immediate turnovers that see them scored against easily.

Carlton feels like us in 2016. I can't imagine by this point they have much care factor beyond not getting injured and picking up the pay check. The KPFs are considering moves out, the Docherty love has been played out, and the coach has been left alone this week because of the focus on the Melbourne debarcle. I don't even imagine the umps have money on Carlton this week. I have been wary many weeks of low ladder teams, but this just doesn't seem like one of them.

Yeah, I just think it hinders the ability to move the ball with quality. The wind more so than the rain. It's really not taking that skill away from Carlton who don't seem to have it any conditions.

But the AFL is always changing the rules at a whim so there’s always a chance they bring in something like “Every 5+ weeks of suspension over two years adds another week to the next suspension” and not wipe the slate clean before starting it.

Spot on, better to have as clean a record as possible especially if you get sent to the tribunal again.

The question will be

They didn't play horribly, they dominated stoppages and clearances. Their connection forward was awful and in general play (turnovers, efficiency). If they had just stopped bombing, they'd have been much closer.
