Its tough but I think Simpson would be very much in the conversation.
He has the potential to be elite at counter attacking with his kicking and an actual weapon.
Some very hard calls to be made.
I pray Young is just a rest for a week.
Your forgetting the kind of heat our defense has been under and withstood. I don't think Simpson is ready for that yet especially coming off a shoulder injury...

Like, I get it, and this isn't a regulation whipping boy call, but I think it's time for Banners to go again..

Bring in the Don.

He gives us a second run and dash type we're really crying out for back there. Worner's got that dour role locked down already.

Alternatively get Coop back in when he's ready, but I like what Walks gives us.

I wouldn't be getting Bannerz out of the team personally. Does his job and tries his guts out, thought he was decent from my spot at the ground today

Gets caught too often, especially when he's wrong footed. Puts the other blokes under the pump cos he thnks too slow.

He's been serviceable which is why I say I get it, but he's neither speed nor use and he's just not a backnan.

We've got specialist defenders who are fit and give us one or both of those things. They can come back in now, he's held up back there while they got back which has been pleasing, but they're back now.

Even though i prefer Simpson, I think Banners is doing enough. Noddy probably our worst performed the last little bit, can you shuffle magnets around to bring all of Fyfe, Simpson, Pearce and Wagner in?

Will be interesting if Pearce plays or the club really is full of it.

Out: NOD, Young
In: Wags, Fyfe

Raz and JOM to rotate wing/inside. Fyfe sub.
NOD is not coming out. Carlton game and Collingwood game, NOD had to come inside a lot to help AND contain Acres (scum) and Crisp. He does so much more than Sharp does and Wagner would be gassed.
Wagner should come in but it will be for Dudley.

We lose too much run taking NOD out, he's had a couple terrible games but the best option would be to swap him for Sharp and it just doesn't look like that'll improve us.
Would be more of a debate if Matt Johnson was available too, but he isn't so for the time being we persist.

Agree. We already had Ras playing Wing. We need to be very careful with our midfield balance.

Could we Bring Walker in and push Worner to a wing? I think Drizzy is lucky we are lacking in wing depth, he's an upgrade on Sharp but that's not exactly saying much.

I don't think Drizz is a wingman, i think thats part of the issue.
I see him more as a pure mid thats being shoe horned to a wing because of his speed and left foot.

Don't see it happening but would love to see more mid mins for him with Young out again.

Sharp is playing at a delist level for peel. Literally squaring balls in d50 to an opposition player.

Brodie won’t play unless serong or brayshaw are injured.

Fyfe can come in for young and then Pearce for omac, despite him playing well on McKay today.

Ras or fyfe sub. Thought ras was one of the few mids cracking in in the first half.

Omac played well on McKay, ..... but then McKay is up there for the dumbest footballer title. "I'm big, I'm an athlete, but football derrrrrr".

Change for next week, Dockers to play a 30 minute quarter in the park next door, ...... before the game starts. They might be ready then.

Agree, it's annoying because he goes back to Wafl and he plays that inside mid role (and plays it well) and then we play on a wing in the AFL, i guess it shows we are lacking good outside players

It was his first good half of football in a month.
What absolute shite. He was one of best in the last quarter against Collingwood.

Why can't people except this guy isn’t a superstar without going too far and trying to convince this whole board on a weekly basis that he's a hack and half of Peel's squad is better than him.

If we are debating players out and the names include debating NOD vs Banfield well Banfield wins that battle every week.

I’d bring Wagner in for NOD.

I think Banfield is definitely the prototype sub but he has been performing his role very nicely. Did some very good things over the past few weeks.

Speaking of doing good things Worner has turned himself into a serious backman. I don’t remember him losing many contents if any and on many occasions he plucks some very good one on one contested marks. His kicking decision making by foot is still improving and hence JL wanting to get another half back creative kicking defender like Cooper Simpson into the mix at some point.

Young> Fyfe (sub) - Ras to bench
NOD> Wagner
OMac> Pearce

I don't think wing is Drizz's best spot, but he can't push someone else out of a role, particularly when he's fumbling and getting pushed off the ball by the opposition easily too.

What he does bring to the team is good endurance mixed with the ability to roll into the middle or win a contested ground ball.

Banners is a decent shout from Superkoops for an alternative I hadn't considered in the meantime.
My expectation is they want a fairly settled team ahead of a run in to potential finals, so they'll persist unless there's clear signs it won't work (NOD's form doesn't allow or a clear improvement).

That makes sense. Something like this.

Simpson to the backline.
Banfield to wing.
Erasmus to middle.
Out: Young.
Dudley - Sub
