And this post is connected to the changes vs Saints how exactly?Excited about Rioli potentially being a "TEST" next week vs Dees. 1 to 2 weeks and Dees game 10/11 days from now id say hes a fair chance.

Not really.This board is going a little nuts at the moment.
Expecting miracles from kids in key roles and premiership success in the same time. [emoji3061]We’ve got depth, it’s been our top end letting us down and our structure has gone to crap at the same time.
“But da recruitment!”.

He seems injury prone in general.So I guess we know why Brayshaw disappeared from the game against the bullies.
Another toe injury. We seem to be having a bad run of foot related dramas for sure.
I wonder if you did a similar exercise for other clubs listing what they have in reserve behind their frontline mids what you’d findNot really.
We’ve had a combination of a minimal injury list and a lot of out of for players in the seniors...
Yet the coaches keep backing them in, partly because of conservative selectors, but largely IMO because our midfield reserves consist of:
Don’t get me wrong - our A team is dominant when they’re in form but there’s very little upward pressure happening this year, which is not great for the ol hangover. And that’s a recruitment issue IMO
- an undersized KPF,
- a guy who can’t dispose properly at wafl level;
- a journeyman utility;
- a Masten clone;
- the slowest Brayshaw brother;
- two draftees who are not ready.
Of course few clubs would have the KPF depth that we do, but you can only fit so many into a team.I wonder if you did a similar exercise for other clubs listing what they have in reserve behind their frontline mids what you’d find
And in the clubs that do have genuine quality mids playing reserves what their depth is like in other areas
Also keep in mind that we haven’t had a top 10 pick to use since the 2013 draft and even then we traded it down to pick 11. Before that it was 2010 that we had a top 10 pick

A couple more handy mids would allow us to put more pressure on those playing on the flanks. And our premiership defence would be shattered if one of our key mids gets a LTI
Don’t think top 10 draft picks matters that much in this context really.
Pal, I said Smitty on a wing not Sheed.Nelson has been playing wing in the Beagles. Previously he was developing as a defender.
Turning Sheed into this role sounds counter productive..........massively counter productive.
Key inside mids. I don’t think Gaff is really that critical to our success.One of our key mids got a long term suspension last year, we worked through it.
I get people feel compelled to push back against what they perceive as overly negative posts, but who here could put hand on heart and honestly say they are happy with the club’s midfield depth?
That’s the only point I’m trying to get across here peeps

If Shuey or Yeo missed a whole season do you honestly think we could make a GF?

Could JK potentially be a surprise out this week?
He hasn't been looking like himself and given the short pre-season and the physical mauling he gets week in week out I wouldn't be surprised in the big fella needed a week off
I wouldn't have thought so. They're building his minutes so taking a week off seems counter productive

Well you see you don't finish the year numero uno and get the cream of the crop. Effectively you stat with second roundersIt could be better but we have proven that we can cope even with one of the guns out, as well as our number one ruck.
The only concern is the lack of young talent but who knows what we will unearth. Yeo was never a certainty to make it as a mid.

Aint no way i'm supporting Sheed on a wing!
