Wait, Buku and Coffield are 191cm!? Rather than the 190cm I said!? That changes everything!
Changes what? You didn’t actually provide any substance in what you said initially. When it comes to their ability to defend I promise you their height is not a factor. Not at the small margins between them and their opponents.

We threw the kitchen sink in the offseason at a great white hope in Callum Wilkie who is checks notes 191cms.

If you’re going to whinge, actually whinge.

What are you even on about. Save your nonsense for someone interested.

I’ll give you some substance Emmett 1 disposal 1 hitout playing ruck and bench lucky we didn’t play ruck only smith

Yeah I’m just imagining how much better we’d be going with Smith’s 1 disposal and 1 hitout. Totally different game.

Well Smith won’t have shit himself when Richards kicked inside 50 so there’s already 1 less goal

Bit confused though 90% of the time Emmett is on the ground he’s been in the ruck I thought this wasn’t possible and hence we just couldn’t play Smith

The mobile tall that can fill in for multiple roles being more useful on the bench for a team that is missing talls at both ends than the immobile tall that can only fill in for one role is actually really simple to understand.

What role has Emmett done tonight? 2 disposals at 50% and 1 hit out

Maybe admit you got it wrong or continue to show that you know nothing about football and defend the indefensible

My man you keep telling me how we can’t play smith as he can only play ruck what role has Emmett allegedly played tonight

I get what you're trying to say but Gardner did have 12 spoils last week. Coffield will be lucky to have 6 this week, even if he tries his hardest defensively.
Total Coffield spoils: 2.

Voss was a non issue coff did well

Just quietly though Buss had 16 spoils more than double the next best Buku with 6

Treacy kicked three but our tall defenders were not the problem out there despite what everyone expected. Amiss got on the end of a few entries but really only one of the entries was in a dangerous position and Voss accomplished roughly jack shit.

I said Voss is shit because he is.

He has a huge ego but he was cut from Essendope for a reason

You didn't think he had a good game?

I thought he was very serviceable. 3 intercept marks, 3 defensive one on ones for zero losses according to the stats. Actually had a hardened edge I thought, something I didn't think he had in him. I wouldn't put money on him continuing that form but last night was solid

Thought all our tall defenders did a good job to be fair. Khamis was much better, seemed to have Amiss most of the night. Busslinger had a few moments where he switched off, don't know if he got caught ball watching but completely lost track of his man. His good was quite good I thought. Something to work with and hope he keeps getting a run of games, if his intent and mindset are on for full games he'll carve out a career for sure

Sure, but it was a different sort of okay game.

Battling well physically despite your lack of physical attributes does not mean you had those physical attributes in the first place.

Coffield simply does not have the ability to kill big pack contests and clear the area (rather than let a Freo player crumb) like Gardner.

Coffield also turned the ball over in a way that we all assume Gardner would.

Of course it still was a better game but in a different way and not all that much better.

I think you are letting your bias show. The difference between the two in the last few weeks was as stark as the difference between Buku's game against Sydney and Buku's game last night. Granted the pressure from up the field was better but if Gardner played a game similar to that I would have happily given him credit and he wouldn't have been dropped. Coffield did have one really bad turnover straight to Treacy that resulted in a goal, don't remember any other turnovers from him
